I agree. I live in Missouri with an R governor, Lt. governor and AG, and the AG is a lion. I doubt anything will change here, except maybe in the large blue metropolitan areas, who may jump right on whatever Biden says, but they tried that earlier this year and the AG went after them.
I’m your neighbor, moved from Maricopa County just before covid/election. Fleeing what I thought was a quickly turning purple county. We thought “yay red conservative state!”. Covid hit and Commie Kelly shut everything down, that’s when I found out we had a dem Governor. I was not happy. Still I thought, hey conservative city, one of the top 10 conservative cities in the country, at least used to be. Nope elected commie congresswoman. Except we were just flagged as a high probability for fraud county. I believe it but in the meantime wonder what crap they will throw at us. I just hope we can get something fixed before next election. County commissioners have to go. Mine is awesome though! One of the few fighting. Jealous your AG took control, I think ours is holding back because he is running for Governor.
Agree about Parson, but at least he never implemented statewide lockdown and mask mandate. I did get tired of seeing him wander around in his mask and promoting the jab.
Not being a fighter in the DeSantis sense may have a benefit. I don't know how much Florida is targeted by the DS simply because DeSantis is seen as a threat, but I do know he never misses an opportunity to make a fiery public statement, which means he draws their attention to Florida. Parson's low profile has allowed Missouri to run under the radar, though some of that is also likely due to the fact that we're in the heart of flyover country, which from the DS perspective means we don't count anyway. What I do know for sure is that, aside from seeing about 20% of my very red, very rural county's population mask up during the worst of it, my life has so far been unaffected by the virus mess, and for that I'm grateful.
I live very close to Saint Louis. Some places mask.. very very rare. I think I’ve worn a mask twice this year.
Unfortunately my employer is requiring the vaccine. So up until two weeks ago the impact was minimal.
I actually emailed Parsons about this considering MO senators penned him a call for a special session to introduce legislation protecting employees from vax mandates that he has never responded to.. The response I got was that I should contact an attorney…
Well, that's weak. How about contacting the AG? He can't call a special session, but maybe he can shove his spine up Parson's ass and get something accomplished that way. Or maybe he can just do an AG thing, like he did about the mask mandates a few weeks ago.
Who cares what the White House announces?
It will just be thrown out in the courts anyway.
I’m expecting the worst because at this point they are grasping for straws.
and its near 9/11 so their nipples must be hard
POS traitor. He is a complete buffoon. The damage and death he has inflicted in his scant 8 + mos in office is mind boggling.
This will only steel the resolve to push back against what is nothing more than the final throws of the Velvet Revolution.
America is better than this, we are stronger than this and we will overcome. The time for complacency is long past.
The US Constitution, people. Read it. It's there to protect your inalienable rights, despite what the resident has to say.
Depends on the state. He only has so much power
That's literally the only shred of hope we have at the moment. But even in Kentucky our gov is a piece of shit who will back him up
That's too bad. We moved from Massachusetts to SC in May. No hope in MA

Our AG is R too and he's a beast!!! 💪🏻

I live in MO as well. Parsons is weak. AG solid.

True. I appreciate he’s conservative and allows counties to decide what they want to do. He’s just not a fighter like we see in a few other states.
Greitens may have some skeletons in his personal life closet, but I know now why they went after him. He would be on the desantis level.

We. ... must. ....reach the...precipice.
