I disagree, you're just dichotomizing, just because some people use it for moronic reasons doesn't make it bad, mankind as a whole could benefit a ton from it
Same principle lefties use for firearms:
"Bad people do bad things with them, therefore they're all bad!!!!"
Want to get completely rid of cancer? Genetic engineering is the only way.
Sure, a cure would be nice, but curing cancer for a person doesn't stop the genetic defect that caused it in the first place to be passed down to their children.
We sure need a lot of enlightment to use it properly, and surely theres going to be much tribulation to get to said enlightment
But to completely demonize it is extremely short-sighted
I'm not talking about gene therapy, I'm talking about genetic engineering, to completely eradicate the possibility of anyone ever developing any type of cancer, it would be a multi-generational effort.
Also it won't be in our lifetime, nor the next generation, maybe not even the one after that, but sometime in the distant future mankind will be doing this, I'm certain
And to get to that point research must go on, so to demonize it now, because of some bad actors, is unwise imo

But there is zero chance of some firearm wiping out a significant portion of the human race!
weapons can
Weapons protect. We don't ban military or police when some are misused either.
indeed but this was in reference to firearms not being about to do widespread damage. True firearms' can't but weapons like bombs or H-bombs can
The higher the risk, the greater the reward

DCA Dicloroacetic acid can stop cancer. There's no research on it because it's too simple to patent.
