OSHA struggles to enforce its existing rules. Unlikely they’d manage to enforce more if they could ever get around to writing them.
Some say OSHA's rules are responsible for more deaths than they prevent, too.
Worked on a major construction site for a family member. He said to clean up extension cords at the end of the day. I asked why. He said if the cords were near standing water/puddles OSHA would cut them as a way of punishing the crew for "safety violations". I asked why they would cut a live wire near water to enforce safety. He said they just do it. An expensive 100 ft cord cut cuz they want to be fags.
So they cut live wires, and leave them near the same standing water, on an open roof building under construction to keep people safe.
Me: "So they cut wires and potentially electrify puddles to keep people safe? Seems dangerous."
Uncle: "dont get me started"
Bulding a hotel and learning about killing contractors in the name of safety. OSHA are retards.

Going to be honest... that doesn’t seem like it’s real. OSHA hates extension cords that are mounted in a Semi-permanent manner... but no way they would cut them. OSHA wants those dollars from fines.
