Any way, You were quoting a question and answer session with Q. So you were completely correct. Some of our newbies need to learn this, they just don't understand it now. At the least they are coming to the right place to find some answers. Some think we are just another place to go for news, and we get people posting answers like "that's old news".

We also have to expect that you do some research. Ask yourself some questions like, why does the sun not get smaller as it moves away, but instead moves down as it sets? Or why does the sun set as Im laying down in the sand, but if i stand up real quick, I can see it set again? Got to be able to use logic.

It's not even that you think this way, it is bringing it here when you know good and damn well that this is what the enemy uses to try to make us look inferior.
That is the problem. Not what you believe or don't believe.
Take a strong laser to a large lake on a quiet day. Setup the laser on shore and level it. Now, you go out in a boat with a tall white board in it. Every mile or so, you mark the position of the laser dot on the board. As you go further out, you will see the laser dot rise on the board. Why? Because the earth is not flat.
If your theory was correct, you could go forever and the dot would not move. In practice, it does. People have done this or similar experiments many times. Even flat earthers.
There is even a video of a flat earther confirming with this experiment that the earth indeed is curved.
Besides, if gravity is an attractive force between masses then where would the gravitational pull on a disc point? Right. Inward towards the center. So what would it feel like to go from the center of the disc to the edge? It would feel like you are going up a mountain, because the center of mass is not below you anymore, but gets further and further behind you.
And this is the simple reality. Pile enough point masses on top of eachother and the stuff starts shifting and aligning to form a spherical shape. If you take enough mass you get perfect spheres (discounting rotation).
If you look through a telescope you will see Jupiter is pretty much very spherical, because it has such a large mass. Alternatively, look at an asteroid and it will look like a potato. It does not have the mass to deform itself into a sphere.
If the Earth were flat I should be able to see Colorado mountains from the mountains behind me in Calif.. I can say no not even with a telescope.

Obviously the earth isnt "flat". Theres mountains, valleys etc. Anybody who thinks they live on a spinning ball flying through space needs to look at the numbers (or read the Bible). Why do you think its called GLOBE-alism?
There is no such thing as "upside down" without a frame of reference.
You can also get insects to walk on balls large enough that they would appear flat to them, even "upside down".
I don't think the earth is flat. But the globe model is quite a wild ride that only the dumbest pretend to be obvious and given.
If you study some higher mathematics it makes much more sense, especially if you take what you learn and look at nature. Nature seems to prefer spheres, and in mathematics those appear as optimal virtually everywhere.
Given that God appears to love copy/pasting with reskins it's not a far jump from there to see why the globe model isn't as insane as it seems at first glance.

How can i prove to myself that the earth is flat? Any experiments I can do?
I am a Scott also and I know we can get fired up, but take one step back and do what we are being taught. To get past the emotions and use logic for the answers. We have been in this fight some of us for years before even Q and it can get really frustrating. Sometimes I just have to get up go get something to eat, walk outside for a minute or so to cool off and think straight.

I do agree, this subject really gets people heated, simular to how libss act when you suggest freedom is more important than safety.
