I haven’t been paying too much attention to what has been passed, because I’m trying to retain some kind of sanity in the midst of this.
I did see the 135 Republicans who voted for that red flag law; so is nothing passing the Senate?
I wish I was a Constitutional lawyer who could make sense of all this...
Most things need 60 votes to go anywhere in the senate. The Dems have 51 votes. They need 9 sellouts.
I've been wondering about this too. I just researched after your comment and it looks like maybe 41 bills have been signed into law this year. Maybe? I'm a smooth brain though and could use some more wrinkles from smarter folks: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/browse?congress=117&status=28,29,32,33
At first glance those seem like small potatoes bills, or ones that fit the welfare requirement with COVID/healthcare components
Are you crazy? That covid relief bill was 1.9 Trillion dollars!
Ah, didn’t realize that’s one of them.
I wonder if that counts as inhabitant welfare...
Although, there have been a ton of news stories near me about people not seeing any of that money. I wonder if it didn’t really take effect?
Sure would be an interesting "movie" if they don't actually have the power to pass big bills.
Compare the numbers for previous years back to 1974...I know it is only 9 months in, but it is not even close....

And I have to laugh that it is the 117th Congress...oh that number.
They passed that massive covid relief bill and that stupid Juneteenth thing.
Thought Juneteenth was just an executive order, so I searched and sure did, Congress passed S.475 - Juneteenth National Independence Day Act. Thank you, learned something new.
I mentioned that to my mom this AM. Name a piece of legislation that Biden came claim credit for - he can't. It is EOs. And he was in the legislative body for half a century.
lol! Biden's only interested in legislation what pads his wallet like prisons for profit or the patriot act. Stuff that even liberals don't like. Lucky for him they have very short term memory & don't know how to research
That old crime bill.
