Looks to me like someone got the word there's going to be a power outage. No sense in stocking perishables if you're gonna lose power. Note that the regular shelves were well-stocked.
That looked like a brand new set of coolers that haven't been stocked yet.
Our local grocery store's Little Debbie shelves were empty the other day. But it was because there was a good sale, and it was the day the new ones were coming in. I told someone that it looked like Little Debbie had died. They laughed and said they were preparing to restock the shelves. There were plenty of oatmeal cookies, as they weren't on sale.
I went to our Dollar Tree today to check it out. Long Island NY. Everything fully stocked. My husband went to a Walmart Market. Also fully stocked. Go figure.
I've seen my local DT with its cooler and freezer empty, but they had a note on the glass door stating how they're changing vendors and are waiting on it to go through. Since then I have seen more food, but not as much as they used to have.
If a compressor goes out...that's how they can look too. Wonder what the shelves look like? Where I'm at all big bags of flour and sugar - gone! This time I think the scare is warranted.
Perspective. The Chinese owned stores.......... No American should ever be shopping there.
Dollar Tree is not owned by China. It's American. I've seen the corporate headquarters in Chesapeake, VA.
Well shit now where am I gonna get my 1 dollar "ribeye" steak

You can smoke meat if you have an outage and then it can last fairly long especially if you're able to keep it in a relatively cool area
Salt.
Stores in NE Florida have signs limiting purchases to consumers as of today.
Lots of shortages on the west coast of Florida too

Just left a UDF in Ohio. Same thing. Missing a lot of stuff they normally have.
The coolers look new, he didn't bother showing the rest of the store.

My DT looked like this too. And then they got all new freezers installed the next day. FAKE NEWS. DT I'd replacing all their freezers company wide.

Ahhh shit. Here we go again.
Oh no, all out of Chinese horse meat (beef).

Great Reset
Those reefers still have the factory stickers on them. Maybe they just installed them.
Was gonna say they look pretty shiny (and clean)for dollar store coolers.
