What can he do to stop what? The solar flare? The media that will blame someone flipping a switch on a solar flare? The fact that the PTB already own everything?

If its the last, what does it mean "to own" something? What are wars for?

To own something means that you, and the rest of society agree that you own it. What if society stops agreeing? Do you still own something? The idea of ownership exists 100% in the heads of the people. It has no meaning other than social.

War is for transferring ownership (changing the socially agreed upon owner of some resource). That is the entire purpose of war. We are at war with the PTB. When this is over, whoever wins decides what to do with the "spoils" (transfer of ownership).
