Vi Coactus (V.C.) is a Latin term meaning "having been forced" or "having been compelled". ... "Vi Coactus" or "V.C." is used with a signature to indicate that the signer was under duress or coerced to sign it!

I did similar before. Boss wanted an 'illegal' contract signed. She sent it at 3 PM and wanted it back Now. I said I dont sign anything without my lawyer's review. Said sign or dont come back to work. I signed: Signed under duress and my name.
She was out a short while later.

Might not be so cut and dry. Best to call local legal aid for confirmation in your area.
Reading that thread made me hate lawyers even more.
Why? they said the courts suck and duress cases are hard to win, don't use latin, use plain English if you want to have any chance to succeed. UNDER DURESS next to your name
For those being coerced to take the mandate -- If you're interested, here is an affidavit prepared by constitutionalists who have won hundreds of cases in US courts using their constitutional methods. It's long, so you may want to edit it. It's got a fill in the blank style so you can tailor it to your specific situation. Good luck. Let us know if you use it and it helps.

Do you have a better way to get it that doesn’t look like I’m about to download a ransomware?
Lol, I don't blame you. Do you know of a secure file sharing site? I really don't and just had to pick one, so if you know of a safe one, let me know and I'll share it there. Thanks!
Fuck the games. Grow a spine and just say "no". I won't sign a damn thing and you will need the cops to escort me out. Try me. This is the attitude to have. Not roundabout loopholes.
I wouldn’t even sign under duress. Just fire me and lets get this show on the road

We had an internal portal go down internally at work a few months ago (before OSHA crap started) when we were running out annual trainings. One of the side effects was, while everyone was taking training and signing that they'd reviewed policy docs, they were unable to actually review policy docs. So, I advised my coworkers on my team to sign "Portal down - Not Read - (Name)" on the electronic signatures for any document that they didn't read every word of.
Similar idea. Outage was well documented with a company wide email.
Now, upon review later, there was nothing nefarious in said documents, but never assume.
