No...you’re correct BUT it comes from several plant sources mainly Willow bark. In South America the Cinchona tree contains Salicylic acid AND quinine!! Also; Salicylic acid is a main component of an herbal extract found in the bark of a number of trees, including the willow tree, and in a number of fruits, grains, and vegetables. Aspirin is the only painkiller I take, usually for occasional headaches.
It's also the only manufactured pharmaceutical I ever take.
Everything else I use is herbal.
Aspirin is herbal. Made from willow bark.
That's beautiful to know!
Yep. It's why I'm growing 2 in my backyard.
Actually, acetyl-salicylic acid was synthesized in 1897. So no, aspirin is not herbal.
I've also taken willow bark capsules, which don't have the same stomach risks as aspirin.
Doesn't White Birch bark contain it too?
You might be more right than me. I don't trust my memory since my stroke. It would be easy to confirm.

aspirin is actually a fantastic drug. If stranded on an island and allowed only one drug to be with you, this is the one to take.
Stranded on an island with only one drug... I'd choose LSD.
Aspirin and Caffeine with water is literally the cure for hangovers
