You're right. I haven't been there. Been to Subic and many other ports, but for sailors wanting R&R, there's probably no booze and women that's worth it. And I'm using sailor standards too :)
It may have changed but the USN did allow for 1 beer after being at sea for 6 consecutive weeks. I know on one of my deployments we were given non-alcoholic during a picnic once.
Sailors and beer, and the extremes that can be exceeded, makes for a dicey voyage. I know, for I was young once and a sailor.. Cruise in heavy seas and you will feel drunk enough... 😁

unfortunately US Navy does not allow beers. Other countries do. One of the most BS things...makes you think they want morale as low as possible. kek
