For a couple weeks we were all sure they wouldn't give it to her.
She asked me for advice on what to say in her letter explaining why she wanted a religious exemption. I told her that although we (she and I and our family) know that they use aborted babies IN the vaccines, her workplace higher ups either don't know about it or they do know but don't care. I told her instead to say that aborted babies are used in the research and production of these vaccines and that it goes against every ethical, moral, and religious code we believe in. The use of aborted babies in the research of the vaccines IS well known in her work community and they CAN'T deny it because this information has been public for a long time and has been in multiple news articles and even discussed on some cable news.
I had a feeling that they would accept that explanation rather than saying that aborted babies are IN the vaccines, even though all of us know they are, but again these higher ups would probably deny it and also deny her exemption.
But success! She called in to her place of work to ask for an antibody test (they are allowing those who have had covid in the past to get tested for active antibodies to be able to forgo the vax. Our whole family had covid last December) and the lady on the phone said she didn't need one because she had been accepted for a religious exemption! My mom was overjoyed!
She loves her work and didn't want to stop so she applied for the exemption and she got it! She still has to wear a mask (and this place of work will probably enforce this FOREVER, ugh) but she's fine with that as long as she isn't forced to get the jab or retire.
Congrtrats... we're still on standby. Got a toe hold in FL if we need to fall back and the $$$ to move in reserve... but no job good enough to take care of our two moms so we're hanging in for the time being. Employer has been totally silent. Headquarters is based out of TN.
TMI... anyways. Glad to hear it.
Good luck to you!
Ty. If it was just us, we wouldn't care... but with one mom 24 hr skilled nursing care, and the other in the home walking disabled... well ya know. Grey hair and high blood pressure are pretty much guaranteed in these times. Guess I need to be grateful I still got enough hair to comb through... it ain't fallin' out yet.
I was in similar circumstances. Found an expensive estate attorney. We were able to keep her home under Texas Lady Bird law. Medicaid started picking up most of her nursing home care. There is a time limit to transfer home but medicaid let it go and we received her home even though we did not meet the time frame.
I got a religious exemption, but was fired anyway because I wouldn't sign a document making me test weekly and wear a n95 mask when no one else has to. Discrimination under civil rights act VII , which states that employers cannot place conditions on employment related to religion.
That's a great question!
Wow that's awful! I don't think my mom's work will require testing from her (hopefully).
Congrats!! My state - Illinois - is trying to make it so we can no longer use our religious exemption at work. Will wait to see how that works out!
Good luck!
While I agree with you to an extent, I also can't help but think that the religious exemptions are also a good way to shove in biden's face that we know what our constitutional rights are, and we will use them. I'm sure he and his illegitimate administration would love nothing more than to have a country full of ignorant people who don't realize what their rights are (hence the mass illegal migration), and that's not happening. Every time someone invokes their 1st Amendment rights to a religious exemption from this bullshit, that point is driven home yet again. And invoking it is indeed what should help later for those who are fired anyway, when they take the matter to court. I know we shouldn't have to, but I also think this is the situation we're in, and it is helping people to keep their jobs so they can continue feeding their families without compromising their values or bodily autonomy. You're right, it's not the final answer, but it is a way to keep heads above water right now.
It's better than being fired, but yes we shouldn't even NEED exemptions in the first place. They shouldn't be pushing forced vaccination at all.
Go Mom!

Yes! I've already got one of those and I've told my mom about them! However, I think her work only allows "medical" masks to be used.
So happy for her, you, and the family. It's one battle.
Congrats to your mom - it's always good to hear someone didn't lose their job over this crap.
Great! Glad it worked out!
Glad to see it,I put one in at work as well.
Good luck to you too!
My wife's religious exemption was denied... but if it had accepted, her employer would have then required that she submit to random covid testing at their discretion. No thanks. None of this is about caring for people. It's about assuming everyone is sick until proven healthy.
Way to go!
Good for her, so happy for you all! You're right they either know and don't care or they just don't care about the fetal/baby cells being used. I know if you work for a "religious" institution like I do you'd think that this argument would be the strongest, nope, not so. It sickens me these people act all pious like they really care about people's health when in reality they could give two shits and only care about power and the almighty buck. All about the benjamins.
Yes, it seems religious or Christian institutions care the least about aborted babies. It's horrible.
I was denied a medical exemption. 100% P&T Vet here. I'm still waiting on my moral and religious exemption. There is a Democrat on the board of the company I work for. It's gonna be a hard fight I'm sure.
I wish you luck!
Thanks! It just came in! I guess it would be hard to deny the religious exemption when I gave them a picture of me in a priest suit conducting a wedding!
Dude so happy to hear this!! I just got hired into my dream job at a tech company this month. I have until January 1st until I must be vaccinated. This company is so unbelievably far left leaning, they hired a chief medical officer solely for covid 19 updates/propaganda.
My two options are wait it out and pray that my state will pass a bill preventing forced vaxxes. Or.
File a religious exemption, and I've been too scared to file one yet. Really uplifting to hear that some people are having success at our.
I hope you get the exemption! In my mom's case she waited until the last moment to ask for the exemption. She needed to be vaxxed by Nov. 1st but she didn't want to ask for a long time because she was scared and also because she didn't want to lose her job sooner if they would have fired her on the spot for asking.
I'd say wait as long as you can until asking. Wait until late December, after Christmas, to bug them about it. Work until the last possible moment. Come into work on January 2nd even if you haven't been vaxxed and wait and see how long until they notice.
Thank you! Ironically enough just got an email today that they're moving up the vaccination verifications to December 8th. This shit is weighing so heavily on my mind. Ugh.
I find it hard to believe that you could get an aborted baby into the tiny bottle. But even if you could, it wouldn't pass through the syringe needle. And although various researchers claim to have found metallic particles, graphene and parasites in the waxine, none afaik has claimed to have found even human cells in it, never mind an aborted baby!
So your decision to avoid that claim was probably very wise.
How could you and your family have had covid when the existence of covid has never been proven and the virus has never been isolated/purified? God, I can't believe we have such morons on our side!
Uhh...okay? Well we all got tested (whatever good it does) and they all turned out positive for covid. Though I'm sure that the "covid" we had was just the nasty flu going around because that's what it felt like for all of us, but we ALL had symptoms of SOMETHING. So even if covid doesn't "exist" we still got sick with whatever current flu is going around that they call covid. That's it. Don't be so nasty.
I love being on the Christian list. The Book of Life.
My mom's whole workplace knows full well that she's ultra-Christian. She wears crosses on her necklace, everyone knows.
