I got an email alert about an X-1 flare at 12:32 PM. It was at its maximum at 1534 UT. Being just barely X class means it's not dangerous. It might affect radio communications, but it won't be wiping out the internet or anything like that. We've had much worse in the past few years.
“So…..what continent gets the extra sun tan first? At least the stores still have plenty of burn lotion…..right Mr. House? Mr. House? Mr. House?!”
“Huh. That’s odd. He was just right here and now he’s gone. Oh look, a note; Brent, went to store to buy ALL the sunburn lotion. DUNE wasn’t just for fun.” (Looks out at Peeps reading this. Then tosses note.)
“DUNE, what a goofball! I’ll catch up to him later. Screw the store, I’m going to get Hotwings!”
Not exactly manna from heaven. :(
Might need an umbrella.
Bukkakefied
Japan's gift to the world.
What's it called when you kinda laugh, kinda gag?
I don't know either but you're not alone.
I was wondering what CME meant, lol.
In other news, the sun farted again today....doesn't look too wet....
And the world will go dark. This is the STORM we've been waiting for; a SOLAR STORM. Hallelujah and pass the flashlight. Amen.
An X-1 flare isn't going to cause anything other than a little radio interference. We would need an X-40 or more to be a serious problem.
Geez! Just our luck. I guess I got carried away with a little wishful thinking. Sorry.
That's why I get the email alerts. :)
You can get email alerts too by going here:

Then you can see alerts for all the C and M class flares that the media fails to report on.
ThankQ. That is very kind of you. God bless. I will keep it saved for future reference.
Chances are, NASA is making this up to work with the DS.
They gonna move and round these mother fuckers up in an hour or so time when everything goes down, huh?
There's some hopium for you.
Wasn't there supposed to have been one of these a couple weeks ago?
