Well I am glad you were able to get out of this but I hope you charge the co worker who did this. How many other peoples lives has she ruined by claiming rape. I would charge her and sue your company for allowing this to happen to you. I am not normally on the side of trans because I believe it is a sin. But right is right and you should for sure sue and lay charges on this women so she can never do this to another person.
In my case, my mom is mentally disabled due to brain cancer. After way too much drama from my aunt, four years ago the divorce process began. It only wrapped up this year due to extremely incompetent attorneys and the scamdemic. My dad, on the other hand, has no issues, has a stable job, etc. I love them both dearly. The court still sided with my mom on the settlement. It's ridiculous.
There is a fed guideline that is interpreted state by state with slight differences. The main reason is a doctrine based on maintaining the status quo division of time. If the mother is stay-at-home, she automatically has more time with the kids and the guidelines are to maintain that status quo; the dad has to fight an uphill battle. The money is divided according to the custodial time, regardless of who earns it. The result is that the default option of working less and earning less, regardless of who does which, produces the most benefit, while the primary wage earner gets reduced to a wage slave. Obviously there are other factors as well.
Stop trying to be logical when it comes to anything the government does. Apply cynicism instead. They want single women raising children ... because they raise children. Men are on their own and approach life differently. We are always held responsible even when it's not our fault. Hence men predominantly teach responsibility to children. It takes men to turn kids into adults. The "state" doesn't want responsible adults, they want children in adult bodies, which is exactly what the system has been producing.
