I don't know all the details but it is somewhat like tennis or badminton. There is a low net and you have a small paddle to hit the ball back and forth over the net. That is my current understanding, but as I stated below, I'm trying to get my husband to join so we can learn it together.
Pickle ball is a big deal here in Florida, it's replaced shuffleboard for the old folks set, I've never played it, but there's a club in every 55 and up park, I used to drive the bloodmobile out to all of those parks during the snowbird season and take blood and there's a LOT of 55 and up parks out here.
Was new for me in Houston area; though I don't get out much. My neighbor built a small tennis court in his backyard. Or so I thought. (he had young kids) He got transferred. Obviously a pickleball court in hindsight.
I have seen pickleball at a bar/restaurant in San Antonio.
I've been trying to get my husband to join a league with me. It is big here and it looks like a lot of fun. My daughter says it is for old people and keeps trying to get me to join.
My girlfreind takes up my pickle/balls couple times a week.
The refractory periods gets longer with age.
what the hell even IS pickleball XD
Smaller than tennis Bigger than pingpong

We have a friend who plays it, we never have. We have courts in our small town for it too. When I go to the park, the courts are always busy.
