Lots of complaints about the native search function on this site (myself included).
So I've created a simple custom search engine that searches ONLY this site and works both on Desktops AND Mobile.
Yes, it's a Google custom search engine, but hey, Google already indexes this site - so who cares. It helps more than it hurts. Here's the link to it (maybe the mods would like to put this in the sidebar to be used in place of the shitty one already there? If not, no worries, but it works):

Looks pretty simple, and you sound like you know what you're doing. Would you mind helping them? We DESPERATELY need a better search function here.
I guess what I am getting at is integrated searches tend to slow things down and make a mess of things. Using the tools I showed will empower you to search independently of an integrated search and serve to improve uptime and responsiveness of the site here.
To be clear - not looking to scold. Google just doesn’t need our help being jerks and these other sites do get helped each time we used them
