how do you know? I've never encountered any real violence. how do you know my prayers haven't protected me? and millions of others have experienced the same. Q tells us to read the Bible, and the Bible tells us that Jesus performed miracles, so they do happen.
I'm not saying turn the other cheek or any out of context modern passivist evanjellyfish watered-down christianity view of scripture.
Fight with every tool at your disposal but you can't cause your enemies gun to jam or misfire, but God certainly can.
Prayer works. Ask the rag tag poorly supplied, equipped, trained, and funded American revolutionaries that freed and founded this nation. Defeating the greatest army / nation in the world at the time. Without prayer and following God's law for not being the aggressor, God gave the righteous colonists the victory.
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
Proverbs 25:28
He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
I credit Q with getting me to say the prayer for the armor of God as the reason why I walked away with scratches from being attacked from behind with a crowbar. I only kicked to disarm, and then restrained by the wrists until the police arrived. I had enough markings that the police pressed charges.
I'd take prayer over a weapon any day, wouldn't have said that before that experience. The only way I die is by God's will, and I'm at peace with that.

think we have an infestation of demonic entities, and our weapon is prayer.

Everything in my comment would suggest that I hold to that position.
Prayer saved Daniel in the den of lions, and it was also the reason Daniel was tossed in the den of lions in the first place.

If we all truly have the faith to do that, and were such firm believers in the lord that would truly be our most powerful weapon.
