Yeah they fucked up BIG time with this. They honestly believed that they could get like 90% plus vaccine adoption. This is the greatest mistake they have ever made.
That's why they wanted to have the lockdowns for a couple of years while they were researching the vaccine. Then after a couple of years and a fully approved vaccine, they could make it mandatory for everyone.
