The thing I keep hearing whenever I get into an argument with a leftist and cite something that disproves the narrative they've been fed "well this is the first I'm hearing about it". Never fails.
I have no idea how many times where a leftist has said ‘Well how come the news didn’t say that or that’s not what I heard on the news’. My reply is. ‘We’ll just maybe you are listening to the WRONG NEWS, you know, FAKE NEWS. The problem is that the biggest stumbling block is the liberal media. The minds of millions have been poisoned. If they haven’t woken by now, then there is not much help for them. The pain and mental breakdowns they will experience when SHTF because they would not intellectually discuss both sides or be open to hear an alternative message is going to be epic.
If we're supposed to be solid researchers, then our references and sources should be valid and trustworthy. Not just for us or proving to others, but because we're after the truth of truths!
I agree with you 100%, but you can show a certain person an undeniably reliable source, but if it's not from CNN, MSNBC, NBC, etc etc, then they don't even consider an alternative to their narrative.
It's so frustrating talking to people with no critical thinking skills.

And then when you can show them proof

I have addressed that question so many times.
My reply is this:
"That's a great question that I hope you can answer for me. I'm always happy to share my sources should you wish to question the programming."
