People are more complicated than the snapshot reputation they are given. Both Bushes were largely hated by the media, although Bush II was treated better after 9/11. I think they started as white hats, with senior Bush being helped by Reagan to get out from under the cabal, but neither one managed it successfully, and were ultimately owned by the cabal.
