He loves to code, he is taking a class now with Java script but has also done some C and Visual Basic. My husband rebuilds old Macs/Apples/vintage computers and he helps. He has his own commodore he has been working on. I can’t believe he actually makes money off roblox. He earns about 100,000 robux a month and cashes out over $300 . For a 14 yo that’s awesome I think, he is kind of Aspergers and has a difficult time making friends, then add his political views- he doesn’t have any friends. I had a schoolmate in Omaha in the 50s who had Aspergers, as an adult he worked with a professor to create a program for defibrillators based on 35 EKGs of people dying of a heart attack. The focus needed to do this makes Aspergers a true gift. The professor, on his deathbed, requested he give it to the world.. MIT got it and the rest is history with millions of lives saved and the defib units showing up everywhere..
All will be well. My son begged for programming books and had only a few friends who are still his friends. He drove teachers crazy and he drove me crazy too. He now is the IT director for the same school. Teachers need his help all of the time. Hopefully, it makes them understand the value of being smart and different.

We butt heads a lot, but he is open with me and he constantly lets me know what’s going on in school. He sends me pictures all the time of stuff at school, memes, etc we have always had a tense relationship- he was a tough baby but I think he will be the one to always connect with me. I love that he loves this stuff
I had a tough daughter. She is whip smart, very stubborn, and gave me a run for the money until her 3rd year of college. I jumped in to save her from mistakes too much. I tell every parent facing the same thing with their kids to let them fail early and often.
We still butt heads occasionally now that she is 27, but we definitely have a better relationship than we did in those high school years. She is an amazing employee (engineer) and we get complimented all the time on how articulate and poised she is. It was a hard slog but we produced an amazing human!

I had a long political journey but now I am a radical centrist technocrat and a Trump fan. I wanna see that man give these satanists the treatment they deserve.
