Wasn't alive when he was around......but I was really moved and inspired by his many speeches and actions. He seems like he was a level headed guy just trying to do the right thing. I wish he would have been around in this day and age.
I sure hope he was a good man, I’ve always admired him and named my daughter Reagan partly because I was a history major while pregnant, love the name and the man. She was born the day of my commencement which I missed.
First celebrity president before Trump. Reagan was a Hollywood actor before running for California governor and eventually US president. Granted mass amnesty to illegals…banned certain firearms. NOT A FAN.
OG RINO. He's the reason we're not allowed to own full autos. Likewise, he's ALSO the reason we have an immigration problem. First president to grant amnesty to illegals. So not a fan to say the least.
Our immigration issues stem from the 1960s, when European immigrants were assigned strict and small quotas, and immigration from 3rd world shitholes was promoted over them
In the « Real Frank Zappa book », he describes the newly appointed US president… getting to the mike, telling a joke, then acknowledging people needing him to discuss serious matters after a white collar guy just told him what to say.
There was an impressive anti-establishment or anti-empire speech (in black and white TV at a college?) he did that touched on many points about the state that are awful. Intimated how the government is compromised by outside forces or something like that. He ran on that theme during his campaign, only to have Rockefeller standing next to him at his inauguration. Been a while, so details fuzzy.
High level people, like Reagan, are targets by certain forces, that can be compromised through sophisticated means. Scopolamine (or other drugs and techniques) is one potential method of gaining control of a person(s). Maybe 'they' captured him.
Someone else pointed out that he was a 'dangerously mediocre' president. Perhaps.
I wrote this on another thread and will re-post it here:
I remember everything going south with Reagan:
Manageable work went to feeling like you got hit by a train everyday.
He shut down mental institutions and let the crazy people become the homeless.
He fired air controllers and planes started crashing.
He said Ketchup in school lunches was a vegetable serving.
He supported "Trickle Down Economics". Help the rich people so their money would trickle down to the middle class. You know the rich will no part with an single coin (Smaug).
Started out good, got shot, and changed his perspective.
Beat me to it.
For those that have doubts about RR
A Bush family friend tried to assassinate him and failed.
Ronald Reagan was a good man.
He was, and poppy bush knew that.

Great President and a Great President to serve under in the Military!

Still doesn't change the fact he granted amnesty to all of the illegals in the country up to that point, thus incentivizing it further.

Signed gun control for machine guns, not really a fan.

First time I voted was for him. He was a disappointment in many ways.

Partied at the Bohemian Grove.
I think he had good intentions but the DS kinda ruined that when they tried to assassinate him.
