I certainly agree with your first statement. The local police, local prosecutor (we already know about him) and the judge should have taken steps to make sure these people trying to intimidate jurors and tamper with the jury are charged.
Is there a courthouse anywhere that doesn't check for weapons on anyone entering, especially during a high profile murder trial? And you know what, they shouldn't be put in a position where they feel they have to arm themselves.
Jurors names, addresses, ph#'s, emails, etc should all remain redacted to anyone but the judge, lead prosecutor, and lead defense attorney, for AT LEAST 20 yrs. That way, if the names are leaked, it can only possibly be three people. No one else in those offices should be allowed to have those names. Period.
That way, if the names are released, then you know it's only one of three people who could possibly have done it, and you now have avenues to pursue to hold them accountable.
The media has overstepped it's bounds countless times, and got away with it, under the guise of "truthful reporting" and "speaking truth to power." Whatever that last phrase is supposed to mean. The truth is the truth. Doesn't matter if it's spoken to lowly plebe, or to a "lord."
If I was the lead defense attorney, I'd immediately move to have the case thrown out on the basis that this kid can no longer EVER have a fair trial, due to the media's and prosecutor's mishandling of facts, evidence, and info disemination
Also, the jury should've been sequestered to a third party location fo housing during the trial. ALL trials need to be done in this manner. Some of these jurors have been followed home after the day's trial proceedings. How is that allowed to happen, especially in such a high profile case?
Judge needs to instruct a majority verdict is acceptable- then the jurors have a choice to cop the shitstorm anyway despite the fact they copped out or do the right thing and acquit. The terrorists - cos that’s what this is - aren’t going to give a shit they just want Kenosha to burn

It is interesting that they did not sequester the jury.
Prosecutors leak that shit all the time.

And they need a new big screen and some kicks.
Which jurors get to be safe?
Doesn't it have to be unanimous?
