I've lived in Ireland for 20 years and 'fighting Irish' is really a myth. The overall attitude is 'sure it'll be grand, they wouldn't lie to us'.
People are waking up more and more after this last fiasco so hopefully there will be a bit of a fight.
I’m Irish & live here. I think most of the fighting Irish, or those with ‘get up and go’ got up & left. Lot of people are just fine with this - including a lot of my family. There are some of us, but fragmented into different groups, who don’t really coordinate, hard to know who might be controlled opposition & getting cancelled or banned in social media means little reach. Forget about mainstream media.
What happened to the fighting Irish? Rise people. Gather your brothers and sisters and hit the streets. Hell is at your door. Resist.

Things are going to take more than a little bit of a fight the way they are.
