Hofstetter is a trolling piece of shit with no real material of depth. He has obvious and trite setups to lame jokes, meanders around connective issues to relate to the audience, but lobs a few softballs of interaction to bait hecklers.
Fuck, he was called Hofheckler for a time because that’s all he did: bait people and film the fallout and then post it. All his videos are COMEDIAN SMASHES HECKLER or COMEDIAN PUTS DRUNK PATRON IN HER PLACE. And the supposed wins he has racked are pissy at best.
He was caught throttling his own posts on imgur and reddit. Then, reacts like he’s the victim. He’s a hack who has been doing this for years. I love whenever he pops up because he immediately gets recognized and then his posts suffer. He has never evolved or learned from his time on stage. He is stage dust clinging to the mic stand.
Looks like it fits with that kind of thin skin. A good comedian is not afraid to use himself as a target, and will tell a funny story about: "Let me tell you the dumbest thing I ever said on a date" and make it hilarious. Or poke fun at their own ethnicity. Even today people pass around Chris Rock's routine. (You know which one I'm talking about).
But that's why Chris Rock is famous and this guy earns more money from cleaning toilets than from comedy.
Jokes that are the funniest are always based in truth and reality. The ironic thing is the comedian was making the exact same point in his joke. Jews don't want to work at hobby lobby because there is no power there but TV is ok....lots of control and influence there. Not sure if he was more upset about the supposed anti semitism or about the man in the audience getting more attention and laughs and agreement from the audience with his single word "tv" than the comedian got with his story.
Reminds me of a girl I went out with who made jokes about how lame white people are constantly and then proclaimed I couldn’t take a joke and “her feelings changed” the moment I told her they weren’t funny, consider myself an American first, and didn’t want to fuel the race war that everyone seems to want to have suddenly. Obviously she mistook my politeness for assent to her world view...
It's okay to joke about White people but not about his people. You can tell this guy is not really joking what he says about White people when he got instantly triggered. He really does not like White people, he's just using his comedian status as an excuse to insult White people.
