I see it everywhere - the upside stars on the Republican elephant. Here's the MN GOP webpage, upper left they are normal.... Big logo on main page they are upside down. Does no one else notice this?

That doesn’t happen on accident.
So sneaky....
Strange because the very same logo just top right of that have them right side up
Yes. Sometimes I wonder if it is even noticed- as if the images are borrowed from another website and reused.....?
Edit to clarify: as if the website creators (borrowers) may not even notice there is a difference?
I went through their facebook/twitter feed thing at the bottom right and every one of those had right side up stars as well. Could be comms?
Um shitty at grasping what is comms and what isn’t- but maybe??
Me, yes! I really need some things explained. That happens to be the only image that I found on that page/their twitter that had the upside down stars
I did a DDG search for gop elephant and you’ll be interested to see the variety. Link is elsewhere in this thread
I did a quick image search of it last night and noticed a bunch, on the front page anyway, were upside down.
This isn't about Republican vs. Democrat....
Two wings, same birb!
It is interesting, to say the least. Take it all the way back to Washington. He was a staunch Federalist, in support of a large government. Infiltration started before we started and has only gotten to where it is today because we were blind to the history. "You have a Republic, if you can keep it!" Jefferson knew.
While history is ripe with men that would rather join the status quo than do any hard work to preserve the gift that we were given it only takes a small collective of those that pay attention to steer the ship. There is a reason that even after all of the push for voter rights that we still use the Electoral College, who are able to vote as they choose and do not have to vote aligning with what everyone else voted for, Last Line of Defense against a well known enemy of the time: Democracy (mob rule). This is why democracy is every other word out of these people's mouths. It is specific conditioning. It is also why they openly push for the removal of the Electoral College.
You’re so much more well versed in history than I am - thank you for that additional insight. When we win this battle- it’ll happen again in a few centuries. This I cannot truly understand, but I do recognize it as true.
Dont get too carried away with pattern recognition. There really is only a handful of shapes in the world. Take note but be tentative
I hear what you’re saying- but it seems intentional. Maybe I’m looking for it....
Thats a mistake that's hard to make. It would mean they created two different images to call upon. Even though they are the exact same image. Excluding the stars. Why wouldn't you just create one high res image and downsize it to fit your needs.
That would make sense- but I’m trying to figure out how a single website would have differing versions. <shrug> other ideas?
It would have to be done on purpose. At the very least the designer did it on purpose.
I've never seen a prefab star shape load upside down. You can absolutely rotate it, but again that takes manual purposeful adjustment.
I had not even thought of out from the perspective, great point!
ohhh WOW!
You can never unsee again- sorry!
There is a reason for the"upside down" stars. It is not what we would consider a good reason. They throw it right in your face.
There is a lot of it I notice these days. Swirls are everywhere, so I try to differentiate based on context. This one bothers me though.
This doesn’t surprise me today, but a few years ago I would have thought you were nuts. I’ll never be the same again- thankfully :)
A star only needs to be turned 45 degrees to look "upside down."
Such a minor change that I think it is rarely noticed. But once I saw it, it seemed to be everywhere
When W Bush went into office the star was turned upside down.
I’ve learned so much from GAW. I had no clue about 9-11 before.
I could be wrong but I am inclined to believe it is a visible affirmation declaring who is in charge. Not a good guy for sure. All party logos stars should be upright like they are on our flag.
Several years ago a university’s main flag had the stars upside down. When it was brought to their attention they said they didn’t realize it and that the flag was made in China. I’ve been paying more attention to public flags since then.
Did they fix it?
Yes
Stars were inverted in 1994. Probably when the Deepstate took over after Ronald Reagan

Thanks for this info- I wasn’t paying attention back then, even though I was an adult.
I looked into this at one point some years back, and there was an official logo change, and the only change was flipping the stars. Originally they were right side up
As in there was a specific announcement for the logo change?? Odd.....
I can't find the article that talked about it before, but it may have been misinformed. It seems that they have been mixing and matching for a while, and there's maybe not a definitive date that it was changed. https://politics.stackexchange.com/questions/11109/when-how-and-why-did-the-stars-in-the-logo-of-the-republican-party-get-turned-u
I went to go look at the Democrat donkey - based on part of the article you linked to. I’m shocked to see the stars are upright.
I'm not seeing it on mobile. All looks right to me??
You can see it on most republican sites- I just picked one....
Here’s an image search where you can see it more readily https://duckduckgo.com/?q=gop+elephant&va=b&t=hr&iax=images&ia=images
