Somewhere in the bashing of Remdesivir which we know is Fauci's drug, it was lost in the shuffle that President Trump took it when he had Covid in October 2020. I argued this with nurse caring for him and I was convinced I was right and that Trump did not take it and I did NOT want my dad to have it after I saw it hanging on his IV bag (I was ticked!). After a simple search though, I found out Trump did in fact take Remdesivir for 5 days. I think hospital staff is only getting objections about Remdesivir from Trump supporters/antivaxxers so they bring up that Trump took it, hoping it will make us feel better (shut us up). So just be prepared for this response, if you're going to object to it.
Anyways I'm not here to argue is effectiveness or danger but I don't want anyone to feel stupid like I did. 🤦🏻♀️ I was still upset they gave it to him. Prior to being admitted for severe dehydration amd weakness from Covid, I had him taking ivermectin, Hcq, zithromax, c, d, zinc and ,nac. He never needed oxygen and recovered nicely.
i thought trump was given regeneron, not remdesivir
He took both. The Whitehouse doctor discussed his treatment and it was reported widely. Easy to find online by searching Trump took remdesivir. Remdesivir is an antiviral. Regeneron is monoclonal antibodies.
Remdesivir is brutal on your kidneys so if you're in pretty bad shape it could very well finish you off. Trump didn't have it that bad.
Yes I think hospital workers could be seeing only Trump supporters objecting to Remdesivir and so they remind us that he took it hoping that will shut us up.
My response to that is. Omg they could’ve killed Trump!! Thank God he was one of the less than 50 % who weren’t killed by it. Also. Remdesivir is an antiviral. It’s possible it helps some/doesn’t do as much damage if taken early enough. But once you’re really sick, which Trump was not, the virus is not the issue. It’s the pneumonia. And it will not help at that point.

Remdesivir is what they tried with ebola and it did not work out. They are now doing experimentation with "Covid19" and also finding it is not that effective.
Exactly. Everyone needs to arm themselves with FACTS like this not emotions. If you have a loved one who goes to the hospital and you start to argue against Remdesivir... be prepared to be told Trump took it.
Avoid taking Remdesivir.
Correct. It destroys the kidneys.
Yeah instead of telling her he didn't take it, I would have told her that what Trump did while having the best doctors in the country keep an eye on him is completely different from your dad dealing with woke retards who think they are heroes.
I probably would have gotten kicked out of the hospital, but then again I would never have set foot in it in the first place.
I swore I'd never go. But when you see your parent lose 10 lbs in a matter of days, too weak, disoriented and severely dehydrated to get out out of a chair, peeing themselves and they have atrial fib kicking up you realize you can't avoid the hospital.
His primary care doc felt strongly that the ivermectin, Hcq, zithromax and c,d, zinc and NAC I started him on immediately upon diagnosis saved him from needing oxygen and commended me for jumping through hoops to obtain the meds months prior (I stashed enough for my entire family). It's easy to say you'll avoid the hospital until you are faced with things getting out of hand at home.
I lost 8 pounds in about three days with COVID.. I know why toilet paper was in short supply. I gained it all back in 2 days.
I understand taking someone to the hospital.
This is exactly what I'm going through now with my dad 💔 he's only 65. I did everything at home for as long as I could but at a certain point you run out of options. My dad has a long history of smoking / vaping, I'm sure his lungs are cashed. But unfortunately his only symptom is low oxygen. I'm so happy your dad recovered.
Trump told the world he took hydroxychloriquine for 5 days when he had covid he did not take remdesivir.
That's not what reports said
Oh, yeah like the "reports" are factual.
Sigh....
I see that I didn't save the report, sadly, but recall a physician reporting that remdesiver had been a part of trials with Ebola and that there was something like a 40-50% chance of developing major organ failure so they discontinued including it in the trials.....so I suppose one can look at it the opposite way and say there is a 50-60% chance that it won't cause harm. I agree that I wouldn't want to use it!
I think you are looking for this guy, Dr. Ardis. He was one of the first I saw expose what Fauci was doing with remdesivir.

Yes, thanks!
It was a disaster with ebola!

Remdesiver is a drug that is dangerous causes kidneys and other organs to shut down and creates a fluid build up in the lungs forcing patients onto a ventilator. Trump did not take that he said himself he was treated with hydroxichloriquine and vitamin D and zink that is what Trump said he said nothing about remdesivir. Remdesiver kills 56% of the people that take it, it should never have been approved for anything it is a dangerous drug.
A nurse who cared for the president discussed the specifics of the case with you? Not buying this. Not for a nanosecond.
Who said anything about the nurse who cared for the president???
"..a nurse taking care of him". Please read the poster's comments. She/he said the embarrassment was a result of an argument with a nurse who took care of Trump. I do not believe this.
I was the poster and talking about an argument I had with the nurse treating my dad.
Thank you for clarification. But this makes the claim even more iffy. How does this nurse know what the president's treatment was?
Because it was reported widely in the media
So was Russia, Russia Russia. Tump said he didn't know what they gave him but it worked big time.
She is going by what Trump's doctor reported to the media. And what Kaleigh Mcanany reported.
Did you see him take it? Do you have access to his medical records?
No and maybe he didn't. But how would that help someone who is arguing that it was never reported he took it, when indeed it was by his doctor Dr Sean Conley in official WH press releases. I am not defending Remdesivir.
You have no idea what trump got
True. But when I argued that it was never reported that he got Remdesivir, when it indeed was...I looked like I really hadnt researched well. My only reason for posting this is to make people aware of my experience and arm them with the counter argument they might be faced with.
But when your loved one is in the situation my dad is and they say Trump took remdesivir and you argue that he didn't (like I did), it doesn't help you look like you've done your research. It was almost as if the nurse used that response on me because she was told to. And I fell for it and argued back, looking foolish. When I should have said I don't give an F. That was Trump, this is my dad. We know more now than we did then.
It was the Regeneron that helped Trump and most likely offset the effects of the remdesivir.
Thank you for sharing. I did not know he took it. I still won't allow anyone in my family to ever take it.
I didn't know they gave it to my dad until I visited and saw hit hanging empty on his IV stand. I was ticked! That's when the fight started...and I was confronted with it was one of the drugs Trump took at Walter Reed. My dad did well but I don't credit Remdesivir for it, I think it's the Ivermectin, Hydroxychloriquine (HCQ), Zithromax, C, D, Zinc and NAC I gave home the day he tested positive.
It's a protocol that kills about 56% of patients so this line of logic does not work. Stop thinking with your emotions and biases and learn to dig. OP claims you can find information online saying he did in fact get both regeneron as well as remdesivar. Find some sauce to dispute his claims rather than throwing around conjecture as fact.
