I'm no chi-com, but I have had a great last two years. Had 2 beautiful baby girls, Closed on my first family home early march 2020 before the housing industry started fingering itself. I'm in Ag/Horticulture, we don't have the luxury in time to worry about nonsense.
cozy whitepill
My family is in the Ag business too and I 100% get what you're saying about no time to worry about nonsense. Of course my husband's company was deemed essential way back in the beginning just as the busy season in fertilizer was beginning. Covid swept through the office in December 2020 but our company president's brother is a dr and made sure everyone had HCQ or ivermectin protocols. So everyone got better quickly and we just kept it moving.
What a cool Dr! We farm and nurse hemp, hops, and legal cannabis. Dear leader Inslee wants everyone stoned, so we were deemed essential as well.
Speaking of....I just discovered Delta 8 products a couple months ago. I had no idea about the legality of it under the Farm Bill. I didn't believe the guy at my vape store, frankly, when he told me there was THC in those cookies. And then that night I ate some of those cookies and slept great for the first time in a few years! Texas briefly took the Delta 8 products off the shelves but the vape shops I go to told me that the same thing happened with CBD products and that they thought this would only be a blip. Some even didn't take theirs off the shelves. Sure enough, they were able to sell again.
CBD works wonders. I even give CBG to my dog, who has seperation anxiety, another non psycho active cannabinoid similar to CBD. The hemp market was a boom and bust so far. It will find its way though.
I use CBD in all my dogs' dinners. I make their dinners about once a month and freeze them, each with a protein, brown rice, and a veggie. Then I stack them in the freezer alternatively so they don't have the same protein twice in a row (the horror!). I put a drop in each of their plates: My 17 year old chihuahua is a nervous wreck so it helps, my 12 year old yorkie has joint issues, and my 8 year old rescue has seizures, but not enough to take regular meds. The CBD has worked wonders with all of them.
No wonder the FDA hates cbd, it works!!
Amen
Same, new farm, four new grandbabies, new state, happy and free
Good on you! It takes a strong will to farm. I've experienced nothing more rewarding career-wise. Also nothing more difficult and infuriating.
TSLA didn't go up because of the pandemic. It's because Elon is a meme factory and YOLO WSB types invest massive tendies for shits and giggles. And Green New Deal news but I haven't seem him push the green new deal, just pushing his product like anyone producing a product will. Also people invest in SpaceX by proxy through tesla since SpaceX isn't public.
Jury is still out on Elon for me personally, I know I'm going to rub some of you the wrong way but these are my views.
I lean toward thinking Elon is alright. True, he does say he believes in man made global warming, but his proposed solutions are genuinely science based and have multiple benefits besides just "solving" climate change and will truly make the world a better place.
Plus he called out the SEC when they threatened him implying SEC stands for Suck Elon's Cock. He also had a huge spat with the media calling them out for their dishonesty and reddit suddenly turned on the dude when he was their fucking hero for so long.
I'm not for his augmented reality type of ideas but the dude overall seems alright.
I don't think there is a 100 billionaire in the world that isn't compromised. Musdk is confusing but look at his wife and the way he came up through the ranks...
I know. He's had his share of subsidies. I don't know much about the wife. I tend not to hold to everybody either being a White Hat or Black Hat participating in the shady underworld battle of Good vs Evil. Some people just exist on their own. However, Musk has no doubt been approached by both sides since he is so successful and working on tech that will be important in our future. How he has responded is yet to be fully realized.
Oh and his family ties to the transhuman party of their former nation back in the day. I forget the party but it was something like that.
Hmm
A cousin of mine bought a Tesla Plaid. He said it blows everything off the road, even his brand new Ferrari.
Look up where Plaid came from. Musk is a big fan of the movie "Space Balls."
I hear Teslas are an amazing ride. I have never driven one. As a company, though, they do so much...batteries, cars, internet, solar, and just so much.
Also, I have a huge feeling that the launch of their satellite network "Star Link" has some relation to space force in some way.
I could never afford one of those cars. My cousin had to wait over a year for his Plaid. His garage is nicer than Jay Leno's.
Jeez what is he, a mob boss?
It would dox him to say exactly, but he is a very successful businessman in a legitimate business. He makes a lot of money, but he has fun with it and also helps his community a lot.
More power to him!
looks more like a business model than byproduct.
I tripled my already high salary this year over last year. (~400k/yr).
Do you think these billionaires ever gets to the point of getting tired of spending money like I do?
I know the burden of having a lot of money can be daunting. If you ever need help spending money, I am more than happy to offer my help. (LOL).
Just shows who needs to be taken out of power OF ANY KIND
Note: Larry Ellison is very pro-Trump.
These values are pretty much mostly just their public assets... you know, their stock holdings * their stock price.
I bet you the likes of Bill Gates are trillionaires after you account for the non-public stuff.
Do you want to see something scary? Elon is heavy into the manufacture of tunneling machines, brain interfaces and AI. Everything one needs to turn you into a robot and we still keep hearing the rumors about the tunnels.
Just a point of clarification, if I may. These values are not cash in the bank money. These are based on the value of their stock holdings being "marked to market". A good 20% or more correction in the market, (which I believe is coming), would change these numbers dramatically.
It looks like Bill Gates sucks at making money, compared to the others. He needs to take lessons from Elon Musk.
I have done alright the last two years. If any business told me not to come in without a mask, I told them that they won't see me ever again.
My side hustles are doing well, and I'm stacking and stocking up. I bought a ton of bacon today that was on a really good sale. I'm at the point now where I can't buy any more frozen food, unless I buy another freezer.
Comforting to know the markets find much deserved success.
I invested for the first time during the last two years and now I have more money in the bank than I've ever had.
Didn't even have to invest in companies I'm morally opposed to.
Tesla is going to take over regardless of economy. Same with SpaceX and any venture he enters.
