Manufacturers are still producing product, and many of the products reach the market without problems or delays. In the beginning they were blaming covid, then they blamed high demand, and now there's really nothing else to blame. The cover story ends in mid 2022, so that's when I expect the shortage to be over.
I work in the car business with some manufacturer insight. Things aren’t looking good, no optimism about the first 2 quarters of next year. Late next summer seems to be the earliest that any of the auto manufacturers will be able to produce chips at a reasonable rate to satisfy demand.
Yeah I've been going through more cannabis than usual so, sorry about that.
i knew you were the source of the problem!
There is no real shortage. It's a conspiracy for the DS to prevent people from getting their hands on mining hardware for crypto.
Probably because we are at war with China. Shortages will stop when America is feared again.
Our lead times for basic asic chips is 52 weeks. Don't know if it's a real shortage, but it's hurting manufacturing. That is real.
They needed them for every vaccine made so. ..yeah it will be a long time before chips are available for things we actually need them for!
A lot of stuff is sitting in container ships off the coast, waiting to be processed through customs.
So Brandon, Covid, and DS bullshit.
It's why china's been posturing with Taiwan. Where all the chips are made.
Didn't we stop selling china special fluid that is hard to make and necessary for the manufacturing of ICs?
I love how the idea of making chips right here in the US still doesn't seem to occur to...anyone.
Intel and TSMC are both building chip plants in Arizona.
