On the other hand some people make $15 a minute to perform professional services civil servants could do. The problem isn't that we have too many greedy poor people, it's that too much wealth is in the hands of far too few.
I agree wholeheartedly. I make $40/hour. Have an advanced degree that I got 10 years post undergrad, had to relocate twice, but $40 as a 39 yr old. My wife can stay home with our two boys and homeschool. I also agree with the other pede about everyone should have to work in public service (retail, food - anything where you're always dealing with people) and you'll learn a lot, not to mention how not to treat others.
And if we are going to replace manual laborers with robots, why not use Artificial Intelligence to do away with lawyers and judges? Surely I could speak my intentions to a computer that could draw up a legal will without my having to pay any human being to do so.
One could get a divorce or go through bankruptcy or any number of other legal services with no need for flesh and blood attorneys with palms to grease. Think how much more evenly justice will be applied when the laws are upheld by Artificial Intelligence in the court rather than corrupt judges and lawyers with political axes to grind.
The thing is, there is a difference between flipping a burger at McDonald's and a real restaurant.
I would not judge cooks of any kind. Or anyone really. There are a lot of problems, and you have to understand that in a lot of these cities the cost of living is astronomically higher than most suburbs.
What you get are a lot of people in densely populated areas where it's harder to get a good paying job complaining about how they don't make enough to live.
From where I stand, everyone should be able to make a liveable wage. If you are making a business money, you should be paid a liveable wage.
The problem comes into play where everyone wants a house or high end apartment and the regulations, utilities, internet, etc. are all going up in prices which results in liveable wages being higher than they should be, and indeed higher than many businesses can afford to pay out.
Now with food and basic necessities skyrocketing thanks to the left and the cucked deep state RINOs, it costs $20 bucks to fill up a quarter of a tank of gas, $10 bucks for a small meal and rent in the hundreds on top of a car lease (or unforeseen troubles with an owned car) costs numbering in the hundreds, thousands if repairs are needed and you aren't leasing.
Even good bicycles now are $800+ for entry level. And that's for a hybrid, not even a true road bike which you would probably want if commuting a good few miles in the road.
The inflation is out of control and the cost of living goes up, but wages rarely keep up. So when you see these costs going up sharply like they are now and were before Trump, you get a lot of people who are not necessarily low skilled struggling so they turn for help.
It makes sense when you create this scenario that you can exhort your plans to give free money, tuition, etc. to buy yourself power over the other side.
The average person is not ambitious enough to ask for large sums of cash for a job...that we see it in large numbers is telling.
Funny how the fast food chains have de-valued the restaurant and service industries…. Paying a decent wage to hard working people foreshadows the corporate greed of global chain restaurants with crap food and high paid executives. But the worker busting butt to serve unappreciative, needy, rude customers shifts at a time don’t deserve a higher wage. Everyone should work at some point serving the public. You’ll find good food, good service and good prices don’t equal a good tip. Good/above average tippers are a dying breed these days. Higher wages could be necessary to offset the fact customers no longer tip well.
Yep, short on the tippage but Libs absolutely love paying their taxes, especially the taxation without representation... or over-representation such as those reliant on welfare though most are capable but unwilling, to work/ contribute to the tax base. Their "job" is to have more children (outta wedlock) bc of tax credits... more children ya have, more $$ ya get. Makes sense, right?
Gotta love libs... especially when they leave a blue state for red, then, strangely, bring those same politics which ultimately result into a welfare state and being taxed to death, always resulting with crappier education, healthcare, unaffordable housing, higher state/local tax rates on fuel/property/luxury & sin taxes, rampant homelessness, drug & alc abuse, higher suicide & O.D, bankruptcy/financial ruin... resulting in an overall lower quality of life for the majority, especially the working class.
What they also don't realize is that $15 an hour minimum wage the left promises them is all those guys ever intend on each of us making. They don't want each of us to excel and start earning more than their designated minimum wage.
And this is what happens when people want $15 an hour to flip a burger.
On the other hand some people make $15 a minute to perform professional services civil servants could do. The problem isn't that we have too many greedy poor people, it's that too much wealth is in the hands of far too few.

I can't tell if your being sarcastic, but one day this actually might happen.
Japan has robot doctors and the white collar folks will be replaced long before me
exactly this
Yup, the fight to take your own legs out from under you. Idiots. Want better pay? Get a better job

I have tipped 20% for years. My husband is the tight wad.
As someone who has worked as a restaurant server (and my wife has as well), I can say that the stingiest customers were rich liberals.
^^^THIS. And really, just liberals in general.

These people are stupid
