I've seen it. Is the alleged lie that Gibson exaggerated the story? I'd consider that more of artistic license than deception.
He talked about Pedowood on a live chat show in the UK years ago. The host nearly died of shock, it was on the BBC channel so he could not cut to a commercial break. Epic.
