When they do ask, I tell them, "I will answer, but I am not arguing AND, FYI, I have ZERO interest in your asleep opinion, so don't bother." If people are still asleep at this point, nothing we say will change their minds. They are truly in the "they have to be shown" mode. I'm over the stupid shits.

Unless you’ve got air tight sources at the ready and can anticipate some of their questions, don’t think that because you’re awake they’ll just magically believe you. They want to be right just as much as you do, so I recommend humility and a bunch of evidence. Getting heated will shut down any progress. At the very least, remaining calm and asking them some questions like, “How have the Amish who don’t watch tv and didn’t mask or social distance at all fare in 2020-2021?”

I had a friend growing up who would say, “Jet fuel can’t melt steal beams.” This made me mad, because it meant that my government destroyed the twin towers and 9/11 was an inside job. Just because factually he was right, didn’t mean he convinced me to question the rest of the narrative or the government in other areas. I didn’t come to peace and believe this until the last year and a half. I didn’t read about Q until after the election and just prior to the former vice president’s inauguration.

Find common ground with them. Like how the NFL is having a massive COVID-19 outbreak right now despite high vaccination rates. How come vaccinated players don’t have to be tested daily, yet the majority of cases are in the vaccinated? Almost as if vaccination status shouldn’t matter if you can still catch and transmit the disease.

That’s because what you took as them listening intently was really them waiting for you to stop talking so they can dispute, deny and deride your talking points. I can usually tell just by body language if it’s going to be productive. I’m not going to quit trying but damn, these people really are stupid!

I love this version of Pepe. It emulates how I feel quite often -- especially whenever I hear someone in the fray talking about how they got the shot because they didn't want to be responsible for someone's death. My brain immediately wants to shout "well then you best stay out of your car because you driving too slow could possibly be the cause of death to someone who gets caught at a traffic light and then dies at the next green light!" Or, "Hey, that phone you're using comes from a mine where hundreds of child slaves have died trying to retrieve it!" I feel like I need to rent a 1986 Oldsmobile wood-paneling station wagon and buy a megaphone so I can drive around adjacent neighborhoods and become "that crazy lady"....

The truth... Sometimes you can only show them the 'DOOR' but it is they who must choose to walk through it.
