My 84 yo FIL is your father’s twin. Only his crack cocaine is CNN. He yells when he can’t win discussions with us. We have a no political discussion rule but I was bad during Thanksgiving and pushed the envelope. He yells to end any discussion. He is British - naturalized citizen. I had to remind him that the American story included political discussion at the taverns and bars. We’ve now been divided by the elites and no one can handle any reasoned discussion. Oh, and everything I’ve ever sent him was wrong according to the fact checkers 😂😂

Don’t even have to go back so far. Look at the opioid epidemic with Purdue. And everyone remember doctors used to recommend smoking. Seriously I don’t get why people don’t think pharma or “science” can get it wrong. Even if it’s not malicious.
I think it boils down to the fact that people don’t want to THINK. It is a big, scary world out there, full of uncertainty, danger, and ultimately death. As long as they are comfortable enough, they will swallow any lie they are given. If they start to question the narrative, they will quickly see that everything collapses. This is a scary thing to accept, and would shatter what most people perceive as reality. They would rather be comfortable in the matrix, than know the truth and be in a war.

my mother was prescribed smoking to expand her lungs during her pregnancies in the 50s and 60s. also the last one (me) a single glass of port daily (perhaps an oz?) I don't think the port was such a problem but the cigarettes were stupid.

Interesting that you say that. I used to get maybe one bad cold a year. That's it. But I haven't had so much as a minor cold in two yrs now... despite no vaxx, no mask, no excessive hand washing, no isolation, and boatloads (even in crowds) of normal living
Ive lost 100 pounds since this all started...im actually more social now. I was sick last month..took vitamin C, D, zinc & quercertin...fine in a few days.

I set s goal, 100 pull-ups before I can leave the gym. Wanted 1500 pullups in 15 days. Got 1530 on 13 days.
I'm 59, 190 lbs, 7 percent t body fat. Lost 45 lbs since it started. Feel like z million bucks physically. Now I work on my sleep issues. Only sleeping 2 ton4 hours a night waking up all the time. Not tired at all during the day so it must be OK.
