Former President Donald Trump was given a hero’s welcome at First Baptist Church in Dallas as thousands of Christians welcomed him with fierce applause.
The former president praised Dr. Robert Jeffress and the congregation for the impact their ministry has had on the nation.
“The love in this room is incredible,” he said.
The president told the crowd of thousands that he was going to deviate from prepared remarks and instead “speak from the heart.”
He quoted briefly from the New Testament about how an “angel of the Lord appeared to humble shepherds and proclaimed the reason for our Christmas joy.”
“For unto you his born today in the city of David a savior which is Christ the Lord,” the president said, quoting Scripture.
The former president acknowledged that in recent days our nation has descended into darkness, but he said there is hope.
‘Our country needs a savior right now. Our country has a savior. And It’s not me,” the president said. “It’s someone much higher up than me. Much higher up.”
Thunderous cheers filled the cavernous auditorium.
“The life and death and resurrection of Jesus Christ forever changed the world. It’s impossible to think of the life of our own country without the influence of His example and His teachings,” the president said. “Our miraculous founding, overcoming civil war, abolishing slavery, defeating communism and fascism, reaching boundless heights of science and discovery.”
He said the United States became a great nation because we followed the teachings of Christ.
“None of this could have ever happened without Jesus Christ and his followers and his church – none of it. We have to remember that Jesus Christ is the ultimate source of our strength and our hope. And here and everywhere and for all time Jesus Christ and we just want to thank everyone who believes,” he said.

If that is SURPRISING to you then you obviously don't know Trump Or haven't been paying attention Prophet Elijah never considered himself equal with God Nor has Trump ever given the indication that he had nothing but the greatest respect and regard for the Almighty His service in the WH as US President was at God's direct appointing So think before you speak next time!!
It was a beautiful thing to see POTUS in Dr. Jeffers Church in Dallas speaking from the heart.
I agree wholeheartedly. For this Patriot, it is almost always a beautiful thing to see President Trump, as well as Kayleigh McEnany who is also a gift from God at this time in our nation's history. She is like Queen Esther.
Amen! Our Lord has His Warriors in place to cleanse His Earth. POTUS is God's Trumpet.
This is the MOST exciting time to witness history since Jesus walked among men healing and giving us A Living Example. I feel sorry for people who are blind to what's really happening.
Praying for discernment for all! 🙏
Yes that is exactly correct. Nice job, hope we can become better friends!! We think alike and we know the Truth
Didn't Jeffers push the vax? Is his church a 501(c), therefore beholden to the government/cabal? https://www.christianpost.com/news/jeffress-no-credible-religious-argument-against-the-vaccines.html
He's like MANY others who have trusted in traditional medicine for their entire lifetime, brought up believing that vaccines were good.
A whole New World of TRUTH is about to be thrust upon the world.
There is a HUGE difference between God's anointing Will and His permitting Will God permitted Obama even though he was evil God Willed Trump to the Presidency to save America There is a HUGE difference Don't confuse the two
I disagree. There is a war between good and evil, and God only has sovereignty over his realm. Satan has sovereignty over his fallen realm, of which this planet has been a part since the beginning.
There is a tug of war between God and Satan, and depending on who humans side with, the results unfold.
While God carved out the US as his home base of operations in the latter part of the last millenium, it has constantly been under attack by the devil and his minions.
I don't know about direct appointing, but He obviously allows it.
I respectfully disagree. Additionally, just because God appointed him to the WH as US president is no reflection on him as a man. God uses all for his divine purpose. Lets not forget that Barack Obama was the president before Trump and his service was also at God's direct appointing. Many men give respect and regard to the Almighty for political purposes. I follow God, not man, Trump included.
Obama is and was an instrument of the devil, not of God. If there is anything that the book of Job shows us, its that the Devil will often have his way, because there are legalities between God and the devil, due to the sinfulness of man.
Ultimately though, even the devil will serve God
Yes, I firmly believe that God's salvation purpose is to restore everything and everyone back to their original position in front of God. Even Lucifer must be brought back to repent and to submit to God's great love.
The best is yet to come
You have some errant theology fren. The devil will be destroyed and will not serve God at all. Unlesss you consider burning in hell serving God?!?! The bible says God "causes all things to work for good" not "god causes all things....." BIG DIFFERENCE!
"legalities between God and the devil".... this isn't a traffic court friend.
The war between God and the Devil is essentially a legal battle. Why? Because Adam and Eve handed sovereignty over to the devil. The devil came into 'legal' possession of humanity via the compact that humanity created with the devil through sin.
Why else would a price have to be paid? Why else did Christ have to pay the cost? Because the devil came to have a legal claim on human beings, according to God's own principles and law. If a person chooses the devil, God cannot simply intervene, because of God's own law. God would have to violate the law of human free will in order to force humanity to choose him. So he does not.
The sacrifice on the cross restored God's sovereignty over our spirit, but not our flesh. This is why each new human child is born in sin, and has to be reborn. When we receive Christ, we are reborn to God spiritually, but the devil still holds a claim over our flesh and over the world. That is why even though Christ delivered spiritual salvation via the cross, He must return. To complete the restoration of the flesh back to God, and this world back to God, in both spirit and in the flesh.
Of course, it's not trivial, but it is real.
There is a HUGE difference between God's anointing Will and His permitting Will God permitted Obama even though he was evil God Willed Trump to the Presidency to save America There is a HUGE difference Don't confuse the two We all follow God, not man That is not the point Trump was selected by God at this time If you don't understand that, pray for insight
Take it easy, the person you’re replying to is still learning ;)
We are all still learning brother That is why we are here!
You are quite powerful, knowing what God did or didn't will or why God did or didn't select anyone for whatever purpose that may be. I think perhaps you need to humble yourself.
I am sharing what is factual You have the right to disagree Move on
