This is my reaction whenever I hear anyone mention literally anything about covid-19.

This was me on Sunday. We had family over, and ALL they could talk about was which booster they were on, people they knew who got covid or "died" from it, on and on, it's like they physically couldn't talk about anything else. It took me a bit of effort to switch the conversation to other relevant topics like the tornadoes in Kentucky.
Haven't had cable since 2000. You realize real quickly " around the water cooler " how much people rely upon it to guide social interactions with each other. I always get strange looks from unfamiliar people when they try to initiate a conversation based on some show and i say " I haven't had cable for over 20 years " and the funny thing is the usual response is a somewhat disgusted look and the odd question " Well what do you watch then ? " as if daily programming is a necessary part of life.
For me, Covid is another thing i am " missing out " on because i don't have cable. No, I'm not scared of it and neither are the Amish and they are also doing fine.

Good response - 'So - Which dystopian programming program do you watch?'
they usually open up with that though " hey did you see the such and such last night ? " XD but I catch your drift
Last I heard the homeless are drunk or high but not talking about covid.
When we have our online company meetings (I work remotely) our medical Director always manages to devote the first few minutes to The Coof. Now he’s talking about the Moronic, er Omicron variant.
I just want to shout at all of these sheep , Medical Director included. And yes I just want to slap silly anyone who mentions The WuFlu, family included. So sick and tired of their willful stupidity, their irrational fear and the constant drumming of this topic in our ears. Time to move on with life.
