I arrived at 10am with my sick daughter. She has a fever, sore throat, body ache and headache. Sick now for 2 days.I have to wait hours to see a fucking doctor because the clinic is overwhelmed with healthy people needing covid tests for travel or work. WTF?!? People who are actually sick can’t get help because healthy people are being forced to test just to live their fucking lives.
Edited to add: this gets even more ridiculous. The clinic doesn’t bill insurance for rapid tests. You have to pay out of pocket for a rapid covid test $150, and $175 for a rapid flu/covid test. And they don’t stock the plain old rapid flu test so you have no choice but to either get the bogus discontinued PCR test or pay to get the rapid test. They don’t tell you this until you wait 2+ Hours to see a dr. What a fucking racket!
Unless you have a based doctor, hospitals and urgent care are useless right now. I went through this for my 16 yo daughter as well who continually was running 104 fevers weeks after she had covid (ended up being mono, but it took a lot on MY part to get her the help she needed.) Be ready to ask specifically for the following that used to be standard protocol if you suspect a bacterial infection: "Doctor... I need you to run a CBC, listen to lungs, look in the ears, check her sinuses, check her throat (and whatever else you want them to look at). All they really wanted to do was do a CV test and I refused as I knew it would test positive as she already had it 4 weeks prior. This had NOTHING to do with covid, and I knew it. I left there with nothing, and started her on my own round of antibiotics I had on hand. She got better a couple of days later, saw her own based doctor (he was the one who sent us to the ER on a Sunday in the first place to get those tests done.. he was livid BTW, and says 'the whole world has gone crazy with covid'.) We finally found the mono, but it was after I had to concede and start her on my own medication. Such a bunch of BS!
I was just thinking about how far weve come from this--there was a time being seen by a dr would include an actual examination. Now diagnosis consists of: testing. And even worse, the hyper focus on mainly just cv1984 testing.
Now we have to say, ^all you just said^ to get them to do what used to be normal . These drs are horrible robots wth medical degree license to what? test? f**cking tools they are
God help us.
Covid has basically "cured" every damn virus known and collected them all into a catchall. Someone sneezes? Covid. Someone coughs? Covid. Tickle in the back of the throat? COVID. Literally every fucking thing is covid. My oldest son (28) woke up today feeling bad and throwing up. He's come to the conclusion that he's got a bit of food poisoning. But most people his age would have high tailed it to the first testing center to get that be all end all covid test. And for what?? It's not like they're gonna get therapeutics. I offered him my HCQ but he's convinced it's food poisoning and said he didn't want to take my last HCQs
Actually there is a very based urgent care doc not far from my home that will prescribe Ivermectin. The only way I know about him is an unVaxxed friend passed along the information to me and I am passing it on to anyone else.
You are very fortunate to have this!
Please… Please do it. Rub it in their face
This will be a random comment, but have her go to a chiropractor and get the chiropractor to open up her eustation (sp?) tubes. Or, if you know how, pull on her ears and pop them open. I had mono for months in college and it wouldn’t go away with antibiotics. Turns out, it was “stuck” in my head and kept reinfecting me. Once the infection finally drained from my head, I was super super sick for a week, but then it was finally gone. Be ready with a strong round of antibiotics, though!
I see I'm not the only one who keeps a few rounds of antibiotics stashed!
I'm not endorsing this particular site - this is merely to put this out there. Fish Antibiotics. No prescription needed. They are the SAME drugs as humans use, made in the same facilities, same markings, and dosages. Preppers swear by these. You can also find other stuff like z-paks with a little searching. They may have other languages on the boxes (like Thai) but will also have English. Internet searches will pull up a ton of stuff.
One example site.
Do your own research though. I'm not a doctor and only putting this here for educational purposes.
