Couple years sober, all my stupid posts are all me. Not giving alcohol the credit anymore! Happy New Years everyone.
Hey congrats man! That shit is a real test of will power. I've literally seen coke heads clean up that couldn't kick cancer sticks. I'm struggling to kick some weed habits and that stuff is literally all mental, no physical addiction to be found unlike alcohol. The alcoholics I know are basically all going to drink themselves to death. Hope everyone can stay safe while celebrating another year on this plane of existence.

It's tough when you inhabit the bottom of the barrel. You find things that allow you to enjoy it. Truth is once that economic fallout hits, my people are pretty fucked. I'm hoping I can get out of this mindset with the new year. I'm used to being dealt a shitty hand and making the best of it. I'm not used to seeing the 40,000 ft. view showing a promised land over the horizon. It makes me think holding on with the usual vices will allow me to make it over that hump. My 'ways' have gotten me pretty far in this fucked up reality. It's fucking terrifying to leave that comfort zone. I'm noticing where I'm getting this from and why it's not helpful. If anything we have been lucky as fuck to make it to this point. I'm more of a contrarian on this board than a doomer just trying to get people to examine all angles. It's just hard when you struggle with mental shit when your mental is what has gotten you through so much.

i really like the posts that pertain to the real reason were all here. i can go to patriots.win for drunk bullshit. this place is making me really sad lately, so many of you produce very interesting content with well thought out analysis of varying topics. Then there are the terrible memes, reposts and the "upvote this if" posts. id really like to see this place blossom in 2022 but its sliding the opposite direciton.
