Recently had a friend turned away from a clinic. Had a low-grade fever, went to the clinic for a rapid test and tested negative. Had a high fever the next day. Went to the clinic and got another rapid test and tested negative. She has 4 children and asked if they could test for the flu so she could get prescribed for that. The clinic said, "we are not testing for flu". Think about that for a minute. The clinics/hospitals do not want to know who has the plain old flu.
Anything prescribed for the flu will only shorten the length of the flu by ONE day. Read the literature. You're better off with things that will strengthen your immune system.
Why have people become so crazy over the flu or a cold? Anyone that even appears to have the sniffles or a cough, the people around lose their minds. Since when have we gone to the doctor for such things if we are otherwise healthy? This has gone beyond ridiculous over something most recover completely from - especially kids. I will offer a prescription - turn off the damn TV.
