Good call, I think I’d rather dilute and take a sponge bath. This for sure works for ear infections. At 4 my son had constant ear infections and became resistant to the strongest stuff they’d give a child. My grandmother suggested peroxide and sweet oil.. needless to say he has never needed an antibiotic for his ears @ 26!!
What is sweet oil? What are the measurements to use for ear infection? How much of each and how many drops? My nieces and nephews get ear infections often and I am worried if shtf and supplies are scarce and hospitals in chaos what can be done. This is great. When I found out my cat had severe asthma I started using baking soda, peroxide and vinegar to clean. I wouldn't even spray hairspray around that poor thing. I use to go on rhe porch at times.
Ear aches are the worst!!! I hope this info might help.
I’m not sure about sweet oil, I think it’s an old remedy.
You can get olive oil drops for ears. I don’t know of a good brand. Don’t use household cooking olive oil.
Years ago my doctor told me to make preventative ear drops. 1 part each: water, alcohol & peroxide. I used that for a while.
However since I have been learning about making natural medicine, homemade soaps & cleaners I’ve learned using water isn’t the safest. For example: Natural homemade cleaner with water and essential oils. Natural shampoo, face or body wash, hand wash using water, Castile soap & water. Those are only safe for 3-7 days. Using water causes bacteria.
Yet you can make natural cleaner with Vodka or Ever Clear (not sold in many states) & essential oils
Making homemade body products safe requires alcohol or glycerin.
I’m saying all this info most probably won’t need because:
**** Natural products are great when used correctly or the correct recipes. My doctor didn’t know water can bread bacteria 🦠 🚩
Any info like this available online. Sadly there’s a lot of unsafe information!
If kids or adults commonly get ear infections it can be prevented. I got severe ear aches over twenty years ago (my 30s) every spring. I never had a cold but bad allergies.
I rarely get sick because I drink herbal tea, herbal tinctures and immunity supplements.
I suggest the most basic remedy, especially for kids, Elderberry Syrup or at least a supplement.
You can buy it premade or buy kits to make it yourself. I’d suggest Etsy for the kits. Or order the ingredients & make it. There’s different variations of recipes.
I recommend ingredients: Elderberry, cinnamon, clove & ginger. You don’t want what the syrup with alcohol, it’s gross!
Norm’s is a good brand. I’ve been taking it several months.
I won’t list supplements, most people on here already know what to take. If you have questions I’ll be happy to help.
I’m not a doctor, healer or trained herbalist, etc. I have experience because I read about natural medicine, follow the experts on instagram & YouTube.
I’ve tried dandelion a long time ago & didn’t like it. I probably didn’t have a good quality brand. I’d love to try pine needle tea. I’ve been considering ordering some. I have a lot of long leaf pine around here, I think it’s safe to drink. I believe white pine is one of the preferred around the herbal community (experts). I hear it taste great and has a lot of medical qualities.
A lot of different teas & blends. I’ve been drinking herbal tea probably over ten years. It’s taken me a while to figure out the good, clean, non toxic companies. I hope to start growing herbs soon. I only drink water & tea daily. Occasionally I’ll drink OJ & organic milk. I try to switch up so I don’t get tired of the same thing.
I ordered the refill bag, seemed like a better price. I’m really impressed with the quality of this tea. I’m not an expert! A couple teas I had had from Buddha Tea in bags & I found out using the loose leaf from this company was much stronger. Figured that out the hard way using too much tea. The only other brand of loose tea I’ve tried was at my local herbal medicine store. I think the brand was Frontier, it was ok, but I’ve had better. I just checked their site & I don’t see the bag bulk options. I ordered on Black Friday. I saw them on Instagram & the sale prices were very good.
I love their:
Awake tea blend. It’s a mix of berry & lemon flavor.
& Herbiscus Tea blend has a great smooth flavor.
Numi Gunpowder Tea is at the top of my list.
Also with Numi, several other green tea blends.
I love most anything with lemon & ginger.
Sometimes I drink hot water with lemon & ginger.
Numi has a great Hibiscus blend. I’ve been drinking Numi brand since 2014. It’s been the only brand I consistently buy.
Hibiscus, Hawthorn, Raspberry leaf & Rose Hips are one of my favorite healing & comfort teas. I drink these alone or blended together. I like the flavor it’s like a kool aid flavor with out the bad stuff.
Tazo has a great tasting hibiscus but I don’t buy that anymore. It’s not the best quality.
This fall I ordered most of Numi’s immunity wellness teas. It’s given me a chance to try teas like licorice & marshmallow, they are ones I wanted to add to my routine.
This year I started ordering Chaga tea from a lady on Etsy. She’s in Alaska & forage’s it herself. I always double check shops like that to make sure they are legit. Look for social media or other legit info. Chaga provides natural immunity. I also order Lions Mane & Chaga tincture from her.
I have recently fallen in love with chai. This is the brand I drink. I like this brand. You can use tea bags twice. I’ll make a cup & after seeping I make another cup for the next day.
When my son was a toddler he had ear infection after ear infection, like literally as soon as he finished his antibiotics then cleared next day by doctor of his infections (I’m talking both ears), no joke within 2 days I would call the docs office back and say he has ear infections again. The nurse would say “that’s not possible.” We would argue a few minutes until she made an appointment that day, I’d bring him in and sure enough he had infection again. Finally one nurse told me to change his milk. I was surprised, but figured what the heck, it wouldn’t hurt to try, it’s not like he liked milk anyway. As an infant he couldn’t tolerate regular formula, so he drank soy formula. Once he turned 1 and tried to start switching him to whole milk, nope not happening. So the only time he actually drank any amount of milk was in his plain Cheerios, and he would not drink the milk, whatever milk went in was what was on the spoon with the cereal. So changed the whole milk with 2% and he has never had another ear infection since. He’s now 30 yrs old.

Nice! Garlic Oil drops are good for young kids ear infections too.
You use peroxide in a nebulizer?
Forgive my ignorance, this is the first I’ve heard of this.
How do you dilute or do it? And what is the purpose you use it for?
I put a drop of Lugol's in my coffee. It's amazing.
Dilute food-grade HP with saline. And add a drop of iodine to help. There is a protocol online for it. Too tired to look it up
Thanks I’ll look it up, but what’s the intended purpose?
You don't drink the stuff in the brown bottle.
There's a food grade kind also.
Yes! ONLY INGEST FOOD GRADE!!

What herbal teas do you drink? I've started drinking dandelion (root + flower) tea and pine needle tea.
What brands do you like?
