Hard-hitting investigative journalist and former NYPD detective John Connolly passed away on Saturday at 78.
Connolly was a co-author with James Patterson of the 2017 book “Filthy Rich: The Shocking True Story of Jeffrey Epstein — The Billionaire’s Sex Scandal,” which was turned into a Netflix series.
The Netflix series was a semi whitewash. It was the deep state's way of cauterizing the wound before the infection spread to other elites. Once the story had made headlines, Epstein and Maxwell were the sacrificial lambs that prevented the story from going further. "We caught the perps, folks. We'll make sure they see justice. Nothing else to see here, time to move on."
This is what "Me too" was also. It's a common tactic. 1) Get in front of the issue in a very public way. 2) Make a spectacle about bringing violators (sacrificial lambs) to justice. 3) Give the issue closer and move on.
