No mask will protect you a hundred percent. But I believe a well designed mask, not the very cheapest ones but something better, will cut down on the amount of respiratory droplets you are inhaling. That dramatically reduces the amount of inoculum you are receiving. The less inoculum, the milder the disease. That is my belief based on research. Feel free to disagree.
And yes, a chain-link fence will not stop mosquitoes. But it will stop baseballs.

Golden seal used in a bath to reduce pitting. Silver spray o scabs to prevent infections. Ginger tea to help ease nausea. If this is their next plan , I want to make sure to have these on hand.

Agree but if you're close enough to have inoculum then the air would be filled with virus that would slide right through that mask.
