So, my local hospital is a chop-shop pharma factory that has taken loved ones from me over and over again with their neglect, incompetence, and downright malicious actions.
Everything they've ever done for us has only put us further in debt and turned one physical ailment into two.
I doubt I'm alone, but our family has significantly bad "luck" when it comes to the medical industry.
Now, here's the deal. I know some "secrets" about this hospital. Secrets, like, why the original blueprints were two stories taller, and why no one is allowed in the basement, secrets.
Enough for an honest building inspector to condemn it, and possibly even too bad for a dishonest building inspector to accept a bribe, no matter how large.
We're talking, the plumbing system being out of alignment by at least a foot, and sheering off flooding the basement problems with the massive building...
But, here's the rough of it; my town is so helplessly corrupt that no one cares anymore; like the end scene in Soylent Green where the entire congregation is not only unsurprised that soylent green is people, but they are beyond caring.
It's so damn corrupt that they actually couldn't bribe a land inspector to install a park next to the waterfront because the toxic waste in the soil was such that no trees or plants would grow there, effectively risking distressing the populous when they notice squirrels without hair and extra limbs running around if they did put a park there. They instead installed two garish concrete trees to distract from the inability for real trees to live more than a year and then paved over nearly three acres of topsoil and then restricted parking there so no one can park during big downtown shindigs.
Anyway... I know a way to expose the dirty laundry of the hospital; the secrets in the basement and skeletons in the closet, so to speak. I can jump on an existing movement that exists against new city zoning and bridge the gap as to why the city board is making sweeping and seemingly idiotic mistakes when it comes to city planning. The entire city literally revolves around a fraudulent scheme involving the hospital by which they ultimately declare a state of emergency and get federal money to pay for a new hospital, while the city board owns all the construction and services and can charge a premium on everything. Yeah, I'm not even kidding here, it's a full Rorschach-level fraud scheme.
But in getting the hospital closed down, I will have shut down the only hospital for miles. Any good they do actually do would cease, and people would be panicking to find a place to prescribe their Big Pharma slave medication so they don't keel off from withdrawal symptoms.
It's a conundrum I've been grappling with for a while, even before they took my mother from me. Not only would I be risking my own life to get the word out, as I'm certain it is more than enough for them to send hitmen after me for, but I'd also risk the lives of those still dependent on the allopathic cult headquarters that is that monstrous eyesore in order to survive.
On top of that, I might end up playing into their scheme because they planned for the hospital to have an "expiration date." It's hard to know if I'd be doing any thing positive at all, since the damage is essentially already done.
So, what would you do?
Take steps to protect yourself and those you love. Then release whatever you have and do all the damage you possibly can.
My thoughts exactly. Take 'em down.
I wish I had something substantial. Before Covid I might have been able to sneak in to the basement to take pictures, but they have that place locked up tighter than a casino these days, with key cards, escorts, and cameras everywhere. I'd need an Ocean's 11 team to get in there.
Meanwhile, all someone would have to do to get the place shut down is turn off the sump pumps. Within a day the place would be condemned, and they wouldn't be able to hide the damage that's been happening over the years.
Move. Then report. The EPA should lead the charge.
"So, my local hospital is a chop-shop pharma factory that has taken loved ones from me over and over again with their neglect, incompetence, and downright malicious actions."
When you find a cancer you have to cut it out. If this, in your own words, is the state of this hospital now, it will only get worse the longer it's allowed to continue. Nuke it.
I agree - these evil people only speak one language - they destroy for profit until they get sued or criminally charged. That is why don't just sue in civil court - talk to your local sheriff if he can be trusted.
Change is coming to the Rockefeller hospital model. These "institutions" will have a seriously waning respect in the coming years. Healthcare will become more personal.
Hey fren, I fully understand your dillema. I wish I had an easy answer, but in your position I think I'd be feeling the exact same. My mom is basically my entire world--I am very sorry you lost yours. If that happened to me, I probably would try to bring it all down, no matter the cost...but I'd certainly be feeling torn, and ultimately, it really sucks that in circumstances like these the people who NEED hospitals would suffer if the hospitals were held accountable to the extent that they ought to be. They poison the water and sell us the cure...it's fucked up.
All that being said, here's my only little tidbit of advice: You said there is an existing movement to take down this corrupt hospital. Do you think that folks within this movement have information to do with accessibility to other doctor networks/pharmacies/etc that could be shared with the people who would be screwed over by the hospital closing? In your area, is there anything like those frontline doctor clinics--even if it's a lot farther than the hospital? If I had the power to take down a corrupt place like that, AND if I knew that the people who genuinely rely upon it for medical care would potential have other options...I think I'd do it, for sure. Certainly hospitals facing lawsuits and closures MUST have protocol on getting displaced patients the care they need, even if it is difficult or inconvinient...I don't know that for sure, but I strongly think that's something that could happen.
I think if you can, in any way shape or form, get in contact with people on our side of the story to find out what would definitely happen to patients if the hospital closed, you should look into it. Depending on the info you get, you could decide for sure from there.
I feel for you. Shit's tough. I think if patients WOULD suffer for sure, then it is not worth it sadly. Hospitals are a double-edged sword like that, and I experience it first hand because I have chronic health issues myself, and many family members do too. A local hospital has totally fucked over someone close to me on multiple occasions...makes me wish the place would just evaporate and vanish from existence...but then where would I get the care that I require? That hypothetical question always makes me think of others...because for every person they screw over, there's another that gets their life saved. It's really kind of distressing to think about too deeply. So I feel for you. Good luck, and follow your heart whatever you do~
It's actually for zoning, not the hospital, but the zoning is to get a new outer loop constructed using the intentionally poorly placed hospital on the outskirts of town as an excuse to build it.
I can hop on that movement, and show them how the outer loop is simply one component of the fraud. Building the outer loop would expand the city zoning and include out-of-city residents as being inside the city tax division, despite not being able to vote in city elections. Yeah, really freaking crooked, I know.
Taking it further, it would put our city in massive debt such that they would be able to apply for federal funds in an event of a state of emergency should the hospital implode.
Thanks for your interest. It's so much larger than me, but it feels like I'm the only one who realizes what is going on, which is driving me crazy.
If we dont fight when we have the ammo when will we? Retain a lawyer, line up your ducks in you personal affairs and give them hell. Within the law but hold them 100% accountable. Bring out all the skeletons and force them to address
You see, that's the problem. All the lawyers in this town are working for the hospital. They all fear the weight of it.
My only chance to do something is to make such a great stink such they cannot bury it and then hide in the fart gas cloud.
I know how to make a stink, but I don't know if it will be big enough. The majority of people in my town are retirement age, since all the young have left due to the lack of jobs and corruption. Being so old, they don't give a damn. I've had a few I've talked to say straight to my face "I'll be dead soon anyway, so why should I care?"
If I do something, it's gotta be nameless and loud. If they tie any one person to it, they will crucify that person and blame everything on them, whether it makes sense or not. The dumb dumbs around me will lap it up like they have for the last 60 years.
I know I'm complaining, but I'm not in a typical situation, if there even was one. The only avenue for disclosure would be to push the already crumbling infrastructure over the edge such that it hits the average dude here in the gut.
Again, I have an idea what to do, but it is most definitely wouldn't be viewed "within the law" when the media can spin it any which way they please.
Imagine in the Wizard of Oz, when they go to pull the curtain back, the curtain rod is so rusted that the entire building collapses if you peel back the curtain too quickly. Not just me or the hospital heads will be stuck in the rubble. They'd blame me for touching the curtain, but in reality it is their antics that resulted in the rusted pipe and paying off others that got us here.
Get a lawyer outside the fold. And take a page from our amazing President. Make the plan, and before you spring it bait them another direction. Make the focus of the first push something else to get them rushing to deal with that damage. Then keep escalating. Involve local, state and federal agencies and news organizations. Join all the local facebook pages prior through multiple accounts, carpet bomb the info everywhere when you spring the trap. Stick to the truth and facts, and give them hell
Medical has me concerned here as well. Our state has done pretty well on most of these latest issues except medical. My gut tells me it leads straight to leadership. I hope I'm mistaken in that. Our two local hospitals are a joke.
In Philly complaints against hospitals that results in judgements and finds tend to get the hospital sold to another health system. It is unlikely you will do anything but drive out the bad ownership, so have at it. They will put it on the auction block, giving more decent ownership a chance to come in and fix things.
End them
fren, I'm sorry about your mother.
you have a good understanding of the risks, but need to clarify your vision of the opportunity. it seems to me you have "justice" as a primary driver of your motivation. I get it. we all do. but the greater and more immediate opportunity is for a functioning health system -- we all need that, especially the doctors.
it's happening organically with FLCCC, AFLD, and the many courageous doctors and nurses that are seeking a place to practice high quality medicine that actually save lives, not serves corporations, pharma, and regulatory agencies.
telemedicine is making headway, but it cannot replace face-to-face assessment and tangible therapeutic care. for that we need buildings -- safe, non-toxic buildings that go well beyond 'code.' (in fact, hospitals are so wi-fied now they put patients in astonishingly high EMF fields with known biological impacts.)
look to how you can play a role in establishing a new point of care practice location. your corrupt hospital is going to fail on its own. point out to potential partners that the local hospital has ongoing building safety issues and there are not any alternatives for the community, should it suddenly suffer structural failure.
when talking with state and local officials, give them a reason to save their own skins, how they can help "expand healthcare and serve diverse populations" -- irresistible talking points for politicians.
there's many private medical groups doing concierge-type medicine (no insurance, more freedom) which may be a model for the FLCCC docs.
focus on Patient Safety. stay positive toward a vision nobody can oppose.
Taking out a hospital that is taking innocent people out is a service. There may be people who complain that they have further to go to get their meds, but these are the days of ordering online from your phone AND these same people may end up spared pain and suffering they would end up being afflicted with by this corrupt hospital. This whole hospital medical system is going to go down. My suggestion is pray on this sincerely and listen to your heart for the answer. If you are meant to undertake this mission, God/Universe will guide you if you ask for his help and listen to your heart through the process.
My condolences for the loss of your mother. I don't know what I'd do if I lost my Mom right now. She's such a joy in my life.
Blessings to you, fren.
I would report them and let the domino's fall. The best part will be when something new & refreshing opens up. And I don't mean a brand new facility I just mean a facility under new management.
Maybe frontline doctors will open a clinic in your area, if you ask & explain.
The workers will still be there, their knowledge will still be.
Not to add more wieght, but are the people/organizations who would "shut-down" the hospital any less corrupt? We have seen people declare here that they do not trust any agencies of the government.
Everyone is buddy-buddy in this town. The hospital staff, lawyers, and media are all playing on the same team.
My dad picked a meeting up on HAM radio about a decade ago, back when he was monkeying around with radios, and he caught on that the hospital basically owns the realty companies in the town. They said something to the effect of "Fuck 'em, if they can't pay, take their houses!"
The hospital effectively owns the banks, lawyers, local news, and realty. They have wholesale control of the entire town, and they have made sure to kill off all industry so they are the only game in town. You factually cannot build a factory here without the hospital heads signing off on it. It's peak cronyism.
The absolute worst part of it all is that they are all Republicans. Yeah, you got that right. Even if voting weren't rigged, we'd still not be able to vote in an appropriate replacement. They may run for Republican, though, but all their policies are 100% medicare/medicaid centric, segregation of the black population using controlled Democrat-based Community Organizations, and they are actively hostile toward any business that doesn't support a "tourist destination" downtown. We have no attractions, no parks, and the waterfront has more rats than it does stones. At night, if you point a flashlight at the waterfront you will see a literal ocean of rats writhing like the pits of hell.
I'm actually under-embellishing just how corrupt the town is. It's so corrupt that the bad guys can't actually do all the crooked shit they want to do, because they've pushed everything to the brink of exposure.
Shine the light and watch the rats scurry
Wow
If it can be destroyed by the truth, then it deserves to get destroyed by the truth.
Do it. It's not you that gets it shut down. You didn't build it. You didn't brush it under the rug. Speak truth, and your hands are clean.
