The problem is how hard it is to defend the innocently accused. That was the main reason the death penalty has become avoided; too many people had their lives ended early only to be found exonerated posthumously.
For some reason people don't seem to care about the innocent, because it becomes defending a pedophile and it's socially indefensible to do so.
There are people here who would deny the right to a fair trial and proper investigation; the mere accusation is enough for them.
That's not the way to do things, and that's why it's genuinely better to keep the death penalty on the table, but only used for very specific and important purposes.
I participated in Pizzagate on Reddit and then Voat when it was banned. I want to see justice. I just don't want innocent people caught up in it, because then it becomes very hard to justify the punishment when it counts.
Totally agree with you on all points. This was my first thought on castration too, it should only be a thing in specific cases where there may even be video evidence as proof because as you said... Too many innocent people get accused because some teenage girls got mad they failed a class... Happens many times every year to teachers.
Adjudication is not perfect, however trial by peers and resultant guilt or not guilty is the best thing. We should never error on the side of caution or it is death by a thousand papercuts.
Up the punishment to physical castration and imprisonment for a long time. That will have the direct result of reducing public acceptance of pedophilias, thus reducing pedophilia, and thus reduce the chance of innocent people being found guilty.
Besides that, the innocent can petition for retrial and have a new jury and judge to be absolved if they are truly innocent.
There will be a generation of humans that passes, before this improves and there will be bumps along the way, but eventually pedophilia will go back to having the stigma it deserves. At least in Western Culture.
The only hope for Muslims is they convert to being a real human being, thoughtful, and respectful of human entities no matter their age.
Yes, this solution is not perfect. But it is better than promoting child sexual abuse rampant in our society. The pendulum swings back to overcorrect. So be it. It is better to correct than stay the course we are on. How a society treats it children determines the value of a society. And we do not send them off to war at the drop of a hat either. That is a different subject...
There's also evil people that force adults to do wicked shit to others, including children, at gun point, under threat of harm or death to the victim that will be abused.
And also malicious prosecution as well. I know it's very minor, but make a cop look stupid in a court? He'll have a vendetta against you for life. Didn't come to a full stop at a stop sign? If he sees you, you'll get at least one ticket for the maximum fine.

Where am I wrong on this?
The obviously guilty could go in the express lane.
There's also evil people that force adults to do wicked shit to others, including children, at gun point, under threat of harm or death to the victim that will be abused.

Usually, in the case of pedophilia there is not only DNA evidence, but photographs and video.
But I agree. No evidence; no crime
We never take the word of a child to convict anyone, based on that word alone. Same applies to any adult. Evidence must be provided
