The only way self driving anything will ever work is if those are the only cars or trucks on the road. AI can not predict the idiot drivers next move. These self driving Waymo vans are crashing left and right. Now they all have drivers in the seat to assist the AI. That is not "self" driving.
I was wondering the same because I believe Musk was pushing for electric semi-trucks a few years back. Maybe that’s not the case anymore. But can you imagine a convoy with electric trucks ? It wouldn’t have worked. Thank goodness for fuel run trucks to make this awesome journey !
I always wondered why not a combination, solar powered but also took fossil fuel, do it charges in the daytime using the fuel and at night it runs off the solar, could be useful for powering the cabin when you are sleeping for simple things like keeping warm or cool or if you have a small TV ect. Why was it always one or the other?
