I am a nurse who has luckily had a religious exemption since August, so I have escaped the healthcare mandates unscathed thus far. My husband works 8a-5p m-f as a civil engineer with “ok” compensation. We are expecting our second child this coming August. We are saving for our dream home with the increasing cost of living in New England (housing market is terrible here, and we pay for private schooling because like many, do not trust public schooling). The short of it is this: he has been offered a new job in his field with significantly better compensation, health insurance, 401k, and the ability to work remotely, which will significantly help in our ability to save money in regards to daycare. The company’s offer, however, is contingent upon all new hires being vaccinated(so we know that the company DOES have employees there that are unvaccinated, and we know that SCOTUS has ruled against mandate for businesses). I am wondering if anyone has any advice in regards to claiming a religious exemption as being a new hire. I personally was already working at my facility when I claimed religious exemption. Any advice will be so appreciated. As always, thankful for this community!!!! WWG1WGA

Tell them you would be glad to take a Fully FDA approved vax. There are none available yet (nor will there be). It does not matter if everybody else is willing to be involved in the clinical trials you are not. Here is the Pfizer link explaining that their vax has NOT been approved by the FDA https://www.pfizer.com/products/product-detail/pfizer-biontech-covid-19-vaccine
Isnt Moder a spikevax now fda approved.
ok, good to know, wasn't sure if they were moving on that same path.
From what I have read they are doing the same thing again. The bottom line is this. As long as they do not acknowledge any other treatments these vaccines can still be used on an emergency no other available option basis. In other words legally they are saying people are dying from covid and we are forced to allow these shots in sort of a "Hail Mary" attempt to save as many as possible.
agree, that is the most insane part, that the vast majority of doctors are fine with the thought of not offering any treatments for covid, until they get to the hospital and it is too late, or that is where they finish the job with remdesivir and ventilator.
Try to get an exemption, because there is a period of negotiation before contracts are signed, otherwise keep looking. You partner is under no obligation, no matter how attractive everything else sounds.
Money isnt worth taking the jab. Your husband should be upfront tell them he would like to take the job, but will not take the jab. Force them to decide.
Hoping I don't need an exemption to get back to work (I'm a nurse as well), but if I do I will use this resource https://www.americanfrontlinenurses.com/theadvocatenetwork
Might actually be easier to get as a new hire. One, they don't know about you, or your specific religious habits yet, and two, NOW is the time to leverage and negotiate, not once they've got you. Good luck!

My wife had to claim her exemption too. Peggy Hall has several videos to watch. The link is for one. The most informative one is a training video for a company (Kaiser?) where she describes what they can and cannot do.
