For those that are interested, I thought I'd share what I saw today. The truckers were to have driven to Queen's Park (our provincial legislature). We drove downtown and parked about a 30 minute walk away. As we made our way to Queen's Park, we noticed the police had blocked off all the major roads downtown so the truckers couldn't get there. It was unclear where everyone was gathering so we went to the same location where they held the Freedom Rally. It looked like there was a counter (anti-freedom?) rally nearby.
The MSM were filming far away from the rally. It was mentioned that this was to give the impression of a small turnout. I would estimate there were the same amount of people today that attended the rally on January 22nd (many thousands). There was one incident I saw where someone was trying to cause trouble and a crowd gathered around him and escorted him away from the rally. Someone exploded a smoke bomb. One younger guy walked by us and pulled down his mask and said "some fringe group, eh?". He then pulled up his mask and walked away. He was wearing an earpiece. Obviously undercover and doing a shitty job. You don't wear a mask to a freedom rally!
After the speeches, we walked up to Bloor Street. It's there that we saw our first truckers. They were blocked from going further by the police. The crowd gathered there and it was a party like atmosphere. Trucks honking and people singing and dancing. A lot of people had brought Canadian flags. It was basically a standoff. It was another very cold day and we stayed until I was losing the feeling in my face. I wish was I was younger! As we walked back we noticed many more cars and trucks stopped on Bloor Street honking and waving. If anything, this created traffic chaos in the city.
Overall, it was disappointing that the trucks were stopped from gathering but the crowd that came out to support them was encouraging. I'm not sure how long the crowd will stay in place.
God Bless You Patriot and Canada and All Truckers!
Thanks!
😁
How big was the counter-protest?
It was hard to tell but I saw maybe 100 people. They were down a side street. Many of the freedom rally participants were headed there until someone told us where our rally was. I heard one guy said he went there and he was the only one not wearing a mask.
100 people. That's pathetic.
They will never get the turnout that the patriots get. We are fighting for our freedoms and our lives. They just feel inconvenienced and don't want to give up their special priviledges.
They can be paid too.
Or bused in................
Exactly. What a bunch of brain-washed snowflakes. Wearing masks and whining about not wanting freedom, but false security from their Glorious Leader Turdeau.
Waiting for the day the trucks go Maximum Overdrive and just start going through the barricades.
Low gear,can't stop them.
In a very hopeful frame of mind...perhaps the guy with the earpiece wanted you to know there was undercover there. Maybe a double agent?
Curious: is the honking 24/7? Or do they have quiet hours?
According to a resident of Ottawa that went out and interviewed the truckers, the honking stops at 6pm... https://maybury.ca/the-reformed-physicist/2022/02/03/a-night-with-the-untouchables/
Good to know. Thanks.
You're very welcome...
The truckers in Toronto aren't staying in the city like they are in Ottawa. They just came in for the rally. I presume they'll be gone tonight. There was a lot of honking when I was there today.
thank you for your report! We have the best elderpedes!
You're welcome. I like the term 'elderpede' :)
I'm glad the truckers are all over the city - being in more than one place sends the message to all residents - freedom or honking, your call.
Find the truckers and express gratitude for freedom there.
Honk! Honk!
Should infiltrate the counter-protest while wearing giant NPC masks
How do police block trucks? Put three of them bumper to bumper in low gear, not much could stop them.
Deep down we'd all like to see that happen. Unfortunately, so would the government and police. It would give them the justification to come down hard on the truckers (and they'd get public support). The truckers have my admiration for being so restrained.
