Fireworks are legal in my town for the 4th of July only. EVERYONE in town takes advantage of that. After about 7-8pm it's non-stop and very loud. Closed windows and ear plugs help, but they don't make it quiet. Tried it because I wanted a bit of a break for a few moments.

And once you get used to sleeping in the city, you can't go back easily . Feels weird and scary to not hear a work truck or a car passing by with rap music every now and then
Okay. I've got it and I'm sorry I couldn't articulate this earlier. We need card-board cut-outs of honking. They're (relatively) quiet and fully recyclable. We can post them all up and down the streets. Plus, we can have honking banners and flags in all the yards. People can have bumper-stickers and decals on their vehicles. It's time.
I just hope that people don't start wearing blindfolds to avoid all the honking. I mean, it's a PROTEST, for heaven's sake. Don't turn a blind eye. Remember: "Let's go Brandon..."
