This gathering in Canberra is historic, for a number of reasons.
consider this:
Canberra has a population of less than 300,000 (yes, its a small town, really)
Drive times to Canberra:
Sydney = 3 hours
Melbourne = 8 hours
Brisbane = 12 hours
Adelaide = 13 hours
Perth = 39 hours
Unlike truckers, most of these convoy travellers are NOT self-contained (no disrespect to truckers at all, Canada rocks!) so consider the effort and determination required to get off the ass and show up at Canberra.
This rally brought together a real microcosm of Australians: All capital cities and communities, vax and non vax, young and old, etc.
However, in case you missed it: This Canberra shindig is even dwarfed by what happened in Melbourne Nov 20 last year.

Canberra is an architects city, designed with many straight roads leading to the central parliament house, looking down any road from the parliament building will give you an uninterrupted view of all of them. The fuckers are probably shitting their pants, there's a reason they have to keep them outside. It is our right as Australian citizens to enter parliament house and observe proceedings.
The leadership in this camp is lacking. I’ve been in and out of this camp and they have just been allowed to be dispersed by the police. Some brave ones are still staying and we (a small group of locals) are trying to assist where we can.
The effort has been valiant and incredible in terms of getting people together. Despite this being a grand gesture, the leadership, from what I’ve witnessed have been a divisive dick measuring popularity contest.
When we had the protest in front of our parliament houses, the crowd was split into two. Two speeches were occurring on opposite ends of the area, and it was fucking embarrassing. Some of these people are nothing but fucking patriots harvesting new followers on their Instagram fucking page. Some are YouTubers paid and bought by pedophile protectors and have been used to expand their following. Another is a b class celebrity from the 90s who’s got evidence of being a member of the masonry.
I am a local here at the capital fighting this evil since the very beginning, we have a few members of very action oriented members. It’s sad to see the country come together only to be sabotaged by lack of leadership and planning in which they are also easily attacked by the police.
Praying for Canada. The leadership I’ve seen from their meetings is a significant contrast to what I’ve observed from the nights I’ve visited the camp here. I believe our beautiful Canadian souls have already won. I cannot wait for their victory to reverberate throughout the rest of the world.

I feel the same way. There is a lot of ego still reverberating around in our Australian mob. It seems to me also that a lot of people are rising up because their egos have been bruised, hurt, challenged or injured, rather than because they understand about the value of freedom for others and are acting on deeply understood and held principles.
