Went to a drive through BMO, selected my withdrawl. Machine was silent for a good minute saying "please take your card".
Then it spat out a reciept+card AND NO CASH.
THE RECIEPT SHOWS MONEY WAS WITHDRAWN, NO MONEY DISPENSED AFTER IT JUST SAT FROZEN FOR 1 MINUTE. JUST LOST 500$
RUN THE BANKS NOW, OR ELSE THE SCUMMY FUCKERS WILL STEAL ALL YOUR MONEY!
You didn't lose it, don't worry. Go to the bank, they will see the $500 discrepancy.

Sorry, this page isn't responding to my mouse clicks, something fishy going on.
I think you meant to say, you didn't lose it, don't worry. Go to the bank, they will see the $500 discrepancy.
R U sure? LOL
That's illegal and you should be able to file suite if english common law is still practiced in Canada. That's a clear violation and u might actually be able to sue for a lot of money. But I'm not a legal expert in Canada or know how it's system works
I think they know the machine ran out of cash and they'll credit your account next business day. What they do the day after that is the question . There's going to be lots of people who lose trust in not only govt but banks and the whole film flam system.
You're right about the loss of trust and what happens when banks run out of money. My 2 sense is that small Canadian banks will actually be fine, it's the larger ones who bet you're cash in the market are where it's gonna hit them hard since more ppl want their money.
Holy crap. Contact customer service right away to get your cash back. They can check the electronic transaction record. Sounds like the ATM is out of money! It is supposed to shut down when that happens.
You didnt lose $500 just call your bank. I have had that happen before where I took money got no cash but it said I withdrew. The system will automatically correct it your money is still in the bank.
Yep, got it credited back today.
No permanent damage but its a demo of what they can do, thats for sure...
