Laws only work if the people in charge of enforcing them all agree to enforce it. Once they decide not to follow them anymore, collectively, all bets are off.
The independent Canadian journalists on the ground in Ottawa seemed to be pretty confident that the unmarked personnel were from the Quebec police force.
And I don't understand why, unless they are being paid to say that.
Well of course there is another reason why the independent media were stating that the unmarked personnel were from the Quebec police: because the unmarked officers were from the Quebec police.
The evidence supporting the existence of UN personnel or mercenaries being in Ottawa over the weekend is very thin at best although some seem heavily invested in pushing this notion - it really seems as though they want it to be true.
