Canada really kicked our ass in Freedom when it came to the Trucker Convoy.
Never again will I talk shit on the Canadians being pussies.
They've showed the world what it means to stick up for freedom in peace while we sat on our ass in America in pieces.
I can't help but feel the American Convoy isn't feeling as impactful, but it ain't over until the fat lady sings.
The American Convoy isn't given the same press coverage; the MSM obfuscated it with a war.
To be honest, the Canadians didnt get any coverage at first either, but your statement still remains true. The war overseas is the main focus.
Welcome! That is correct, at least as far as I can see .
Well the Canadian ran the perfect meme strategy with hot tubs and feeding the town and just being super great to the community except in the way of being loud and heard.
And yet here we are politely driving around like it's Sunday.
fucking DUH the Canadians got coverage! It was hella fun to watch!
This American convoy.... let's face it from a pure entertainment production standpoint WHICH US IMPORTANT is EXTREMELY LACKING.
And their plan is to talk to Ted Cruz!?
Yup. Fucking DUH they don't have coverage and they don't deserve it in a capitalist sense.
The product just isn't there.
Now rig me up some hot tub flatbeds? Or plans to feed the homeless in DC? I'll be in Maryland TOMORROW.
Remove that shit about wanting to talk to the idiots we should be demanding resignations from their website and I'll donate $1000 right now.
They get no coverage because they low key suck at protesting.
Sorry 😐 I really wish we had what Canada had going on. But the spirit for that was months ago and we missed the mark being too scared of a false flag.
This. Our country has gone soft. When Canada and France outshine us in the protests and taking a stand area, you realize how far we have fallen.
Part of what drives protests is the levels of oppression. In most US states, almost all the restrictions have been lifted for many months now. At the time the Canadian Trucker protest started, COVID was gone but the restrictions were as bad as ever. The Canadian Federal ones are still in full force. For example: Vaccinations to cross Canada/US border, Vaccinations to fly domestically or to get on a train. This is all still in place after the vaccines have proven to be ineffective and dangerous, and after COVID vanished. Canada is a good example of no government policy or new power ever being temporary.
It definitely doesn't feel as impactful.
I feel the same. I also feel like Canada had reached their "precipice". The way all of that went down, I felt like it was their last stand... If that makes any sense? I fear we have not reached that point here in the U.S. I have to admit I am curious how far things will go here in the U.S. once it gets to that point. Maybe it never will. I don't know.
wait for the 8-dollar gas and the move to ration gas on people.
Yeah I doubt we hit it, most places are easing restrictions.
As a canadian, your right. That was our last stand. Our last peaceful stand! Shits gonna go sideways.
That's the right attitude!
Mainly because we are getting less media about it and all they are doing is driving around the beltway being noisy. The American Freedom convoy is definitely being more careful with their form of protest to avoid arrests and truck seisures.
Part of it is that the attack on freedoms in Canada was much greater than most parts of the US so the motivation to do something about it was also greater. Until this very day, you need proof of vaccination to get on a flight between provinces and even to get on a train in Canada. In addition, the cross border vaccine mandates the trucks were initially really mad about are still in effect. Xiden did try to impose some mandates in the US but many got struck down very quickly. In Canada, the courts have refused to do their jobs and have not pushed back against any mandates at all. There are not checks an balances in Canada. It's open season on tyranny.
In addition, the Canadian Truckers are definitely very courageous. In a country where Marxism is the de facto religion, it takes courage to stand up to it. In the US, a protesting trucker knows he will get decent support form the public and they have some constitutional protections (those that are left). In Canada, when the convoy started, I'm sure the truckers didn't know what was going to happen. And in the end, their charter rights (Canadian version of US constitution) were trampled on, their property was attacked, and the legacy media lied about them without hesitation. However, it does seem like some Canadians did wake up and they did have descent support from at least a subset of Canadian. But not from the courts or from almost any politicians. Even most right leaning politicians that should have been on their side, didn't openly support them, but they at least didn't lie about them like BlackFaceHitler (the official name of the leader of Canada).
We also were still overcoming how much J6 had sucked the wind out of our sails.
Agreed, it almost feels like what is the point.
I have been silent about it up until now, as I didnt want to come across as trying to cause division or drama over it.
Truth hurts, and this is a truth forum. Don't be silent when you feel something is off. It's only words online, they'll get over it and find something else.
